Rise against Hunger Update

Since we have been encouraged to keep our church doors closed until June 21, we will have to postpone our June 13 service project. As of now, our church is “on hold” with our service project to honor our 200th anniversary. I appreciate those who have already donated or pledged to this project. As soon as I can, I will visit more Sunday School classes and circles to reach our goal of $3,500. At this time, there is $1750 in our church account with another $1200 pledged. As you can tell, the money is almost raised.

I want to thank our church members who volunteered to pack food packets on June 13 and hope you will be able to help us when we reschedule this event. The need is great right now. I am sure that need will only grow as we plow through COVID-19.

YOUTH UPDATES Due to the current circumstances, our Lake

Junaluska trip has been cancelled. As of now, in-person youth events will resume on July 12th. This date is very tentative, but

we are continuing to do our Sunday night Zoom meetings at 5PM!

United Methodist Women

At this time, I feel it is in the best interest of our ladies to cancel our UMW meeting in June. Hopefully

by July we can be back together. Dinah Agnew

Thank your, Church family,

There simply are not words to express our gratitude for all you did for us during Andy’s recent illness. But we must make an attempt! You prayed; you visited; you sent a basket; you sent cards; you called; you cleaned up our yard…..David mowed; you “dressed” Ronald’s incision; you carried me to the doctor; you brought food; you carried Zoe to the Bed ‘n Biscuit; you carried me back to the hospital.

And it started all over again …..prayers, visits, food, cards, phone calls, running errands! We are most appreciative and don’t know what we would do without you! We miss you and love you! As our daughter, Sherrie, said, “Thank you for taking such good care of us!”
