NEXT BOARD MEETING
Thursday, March 22 & April 26 7 pm
South Pointe Swim ClubAll Homeowners Welcome!
The Director’s Cut
After what seem like an extraordinary long winter,
spring is finally in the air and with that comes
various changes. This is definitely true on the
HMHOA Board where I, along with Don Krok are pleased to join
the board and help serve our neighborhood.
Since we now do have a full board, we have had several
discussions on goals as we continue on this year. A common
theme has been to increase communication and participation
with the board. One of the easiest ways to get involved with the
HMHOA is to simply attend our monthly meetings. The HMHOA’s
next meeting will be on Thursday, March 22nd at 7 pm at the
South Pointe Swim Clubhouse and all homeowners are
welcome.
The meetings will also be streamed live via the High
Meadow Homeowners Community on Facebook. We have
streamed the last two meetings on Facebook and this is an
excellent option if you cannot attend in person. Additionally,
often times I have been asked the question on how can I reach
out to the board with a question or a concern. The entire
HMHOA Board can be quickly reached by email at
At our last meeting, we discussed that our management
company has changed ownership and with that there has been a
name change. Rowell has been changed to RealManage Illinois
and an official notification has been sent out to all homeowners.
Everyone will also be pleased to hear that the HMHOA is in
great financial shape after completing an audit by Cantey &
Associates with no issues to report.
WANTED: Yard of the Month! Finally a neighborhood
favorite will be returning in May with our Yard of the Month
contest. Each month one yard will be selected and awarded the
prestigious signage designating them as High Meadow’s Yard of
the Month! Feel free to send in any suggestions of homes you
feel are worthy and we will be on the look out as well here at the
board along with our management company.
Enjoy Spring!

Comings and GoingsMeet HMHOA Secretary | Stu Jacover
This month’s ‘Comingsand Goings’ isfeaturing our new
HMHOA board member StuJacover.
Stu and his wife Pam movedto High Meadow in 1999, whenthey built their house on WildTimothy. Today, 19 years later,Stu and Pam have 3 daughters.Their oldest Sarah is a Freshmanat Neuqua, Lauren is 12 and in 6th grade at Crone and Hannah is 7and in second grade at Graham. They also try to keep up with theirGolden Doodle Hazel who is 4.
Stu is Vice President and General Manager at Hoist LiftruckManufacturing and his wife Pam is an attorney with State FarmInsurance. All of the girls pursue dancing as well as they enjoytraveling, but they have not done enough of that as of late!
Asked as to why High Meadow? Stu indicated that their familywas drawn to and continue to enjoy High Meadow for the strongfamily atmosphere in the community. They have made some greatfriends and love how convenient everything is to theneighborhood.
By volunteering on the board, he would like to encouragemore networking among our neighbors as well as expand thesuccessful social events that have been conducted over the years. One goal would be to increase the participation level in scheduledevents. He believes that stronger participation leads to a strongercommunity for us all to enjoy.
Let’s all give Stu a big welcome to the board and thank him forvolunteering his time to ensure our community remains a greatplace to live.
Early “Shout Out”!The HMHOA will likely sponsor a garage sale if thereare any interested parties. Over the past few years,High Meadow has partnered with the residents of
South Pointe and held an annual garage sale. The subdivision garage sale usually occurs in late May
or early June.We welcome any residents to participate in theplanning of this event. This is a minimally time
consuming, fun event to help keep our subdivision onthe garage sales map. Signs were printed last year and
are ready to go.If you are interested, please contact any boardmember or attend the next board meeting on
March 22, 2018 at 7 pm at the South Pointe Clubhouse.

Do you have an idea, suggestion, comment or concern aboutour neighborhood? Please submit your thoughts to
“As a High Meadow resident, how do I keep up to date on information fromthe City of Naperville about emergencies and community activities?”
ANSWER: The City of Naperville has a system to send messages quickly and directly to individuals about emergency and
community events. The system is called Naper Notify and was launched in 2013 which allows residents to sign‐up to
receive notifications. The notification can be a phone call to a cell phone, work phone or home phone as well as a text
message or email. The two types of notifications are for emergencies and Naperville community messages. Emergency
messages are related to public safety, such as explaining police activity in certain areas, robberies, or anything that could
be a current pending threat. There are a couple of categories for community notifications which include updates on Brush
Collection, Winter Operations, Utility outages and more. To sign up, go to the Naperville website
www.naperville.il.us/napernotify.aspx and stay informed.

Yard of the Month UPDATEThe High Meadow Board is reevaluating the Yard of the Month Program. Look for changes to the process next calendar year.In the meantime, remember a home with great “curb appeal” (great looking landscape in the front of your home ) can bothincrease your home value and shorten the time your home is on the market. More importantly, a well maintained front yard ispleasing for all to look at – Let’s keep our community desirable and beautiful.
LANDLORDS AND RENTERS PLEASE NOTE
The HMHOA wants you to know that "per the CommonInterest Community Association Act of 2010, a friendlyreminder that any lease entered into after July 29, 2010 thehomeowner is required to provide the Board or managementcompany a copy of the signed lease or, if the lease is oral, amemorandum of the lease no later than the date ofoccupancy or 10 days after the lease is signed, whicheveroccurs first. This new law will be enforced by the HighMeadow Homeowners Association, and non compliance willresult in a warning, and followed with possible fines. You canfax any leases to Rowell Inc. 847-991-6122, or email them [email protected].
Easter Egg Hunt There has been some chatter on the High
Meadow Facebook page discussing a HighMeadow Easter Egg Hunt. It might be too latefor something to be organized for this year. Inyears past, the HMHOA used to have a socialcommittee that would plan such events frominput from the residents.

Sim Sim Do you ever dream of a day when you have a wonderful cat-panion to call your own? Look no further, yourboy is right here! If there would be one word frequently used to describe Sim Sim it would be: animated! Ilove to sit and talk to the birds outside the window and I can be quite chatty with them. If you like lasagnathen we also have something in common because that seems to be a favorite of mine! Now that you know alittle about me, stop in and get to know me even better! I will be in the lobby waiting to greet you!
RoxieAre you looking for that special friend to share your home with? Well come and see me! My name is Roxieand I am looking for a home where I can be the only pet. I maybe small, but I am very smart and needmental activity and daily exercise. I think this could be very rewarding because we could bond togetherwhile doing these activities! A quieter home where people aren’t always in and out would probably be bestfor me because I might get anxious and protective of my family. Once I am tired from our daily activities Iwould enjoy a nice bed and some relaxation time. So if your home is empty and you need a friend to share itwith please come see me! I just want to be the center of attention in my new forever home!
