With a goal to keep families and individuals healthy by providing easy on‐the‐go juices and smoothies that are healthier options than other drive‐thru establishments, The Orange Peel is bound for success. In addition to providing healthy drink options The Orange Peel will be an establishment dedicated to educating the community on the nutritional benefits of healthy lifestyles and diets. The Orange Peel will utilize earth and eco‐friendly products. Today’s American society has incredibly fast‐paced lifestyles, which is supporting the purpose of opening The Orange Peel as part of the fast‐food service industry. More often than not people sacrifice their health in the name of convenience. But what if fast food didn’t equate to junk food? A drive‐thru/walk‐in healthy drink shop is a much‐needed establishment for the greater Framingham area. The Orange Peel will have organic products, fresh fruit and vegetable beverages, and coffee/espresso drinks everyday that will make for a nutritious and delicious alternate to Dunkin Donuts or McDonald’s. The Orange Peel will have a large target market of any and all persons seeking fast, and healthy drink options. The business will specifically target business professionals and college students. This audience, with their fast‐passed, crunched‐for‐time lifestyles, will undoubtedly welcome The Orange Peel’s quick service and quality products. Not only will The Orange Peel provide the quick service that our customers seek, but will provide nutritious, wholesome food products.

Products will be delivered through a drive‐thru and small walk‐in shop.  Customers will have the option to come in and order or stay in their vehicle for drive‐thru service.  Advertising will be a huge focal point.  Getting the word out about our shop and everything it offers before its grand opening— in hopes of it becoming a popular place—will be very important. Advertising tactics will include brochures, signs, as well as popular on‐line social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. A small billboard along a heavily‐trafficed route may be another good strategy depending on whether the budget permits. 

There is a great demand for early‐morning, fast service that provides nutritious foods.  Our competitors, other drive‐thru fast food restaurants, lack nutritious options. Famous smoothie chains like Jamba Juice do not have locations in the Metrowest area at this time. Fresh City offers smoothies, but does not have a drive‐thru. McDonald’s offers “fruit smoothies,” but they are not made with fresh fruit. Commuters that drive along route nine may feel they do not have time to make healthy food choices amidst the hectic traffic, but The Orange Peel will offer the average busybody quick and healthy options.
