THE ORDER OF WORSHIP

Third Sunday of Easter

April 14, 2013 10:45 a.m.

THE GATHERING

Welcome and the Life of the Church

Opening Voluntary Rev. Larry Sivis “Allegro Moderato” from the Temple Church Suite

John Stanley

Choral Introit The Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before Him.

O come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

† Call to Worship Wesley Daniel adapted from Psalm 30

L: Let us exalt you, O LORD, because God has lifted us up. P: O LORD our God, we cried out to you, and you restored us to health. L: The LORD brought us up, from the dead; P: Our God restored our life and brought us up out of the grave. L: Sing to the LORD, you servants of his; give thanks for the remembrance

of his holiness.

† Hymn of Praise Tune: Lyons Ye servants of God, your Savior proclaim, and publish abroad that wonderful name: the name, all victorious, of Jesus extol;

who, sovereign and glorious, now rules over all.

God’s truth reaches high, almighty to save, and yet remains nigh: God’s presence we have.

The great congregation God’s triumph shall praise, ascribing salvation to Jesus always.

Salvation to God who sits on the throne! Let all cry aloud for what God has done.

The praises of Jesus the angels proclaim; still veiling their faces, they worship the Lamb.

Then let us adore and render God’s right, all glory and power, all wisdom and might, all honor and blessing with angels above,

and thanks never ceasing and infinite love.
