This guide provides you with information on the University’s fees for undergraduate study in 2021-22.

DISCLAIMER Fees for students domiciled in Scotland are subject to confirmation by the Scottish Funding Council. All fees are in £ sterling and may be subject to revision.

ANNUAL REVISION OF FEESStudents on programmes of study of more than one year should be aware that tuition fees are revised annually and may increase in subsequent years of study. Annual increases will generally reflect UK inflation rates and increases to programme delivery costs.

* Fees for students domiciled in Scotland are subject to confirmation by the Scottish Funding Council. **Scottish undergraduate students undertaking an exchange for a semester/year will continue to pay their normal tuition fees at Strathclyde and will not be charged fees by the overseas institution.

General Notes to Undergraduate Fees Exceptions to standard fees listed are correct at the time of publication. However, you should check the fee level applicable to

your programme of study at the time of your admission. Fees quoted are for new entrants and continuing students. However, different fees may apply to some continuing students and

details can be obtained from Student Business. Students who have received an appropriate progress decision from the Board of Examiners to sit degree examinations must

register for the examinations at the normal registration period at the beginning of the session and pay the appropriate fee (if applicable).

* Assuming no change in RUK fees policy over the period, the total amount payable by undergraduate students will be capped. For students commencing study in 2021-22, this is capped at £27,750 (with the exception of the MPharm and integrated Masters programmes), MPharm students pay £9,250 for each of the four years. Students studying on integrated Masters degree programmes pay an additional £9,250 for the Masters year with the exception of those undertaking a full-year industrial placement where a separate placement fee will apply.

** All students on undergraduate Architecture programmes will pay the same fee rate as Scottish students for the compulsory placement year (see first table). *** Please refer to individual course pages for these fees.

Students can follow a three or four-year BEng (Hons) programme pathway. The Year 1 - 3 fees quoted above are for the three year BEng (Hons) pathway only studying the number of credits indicated in each year. Fees for undertaking the BEng (Hons) programme over four years will be proportionate to the number of credits taken each year based on the module price indicated below. Students who meet the appropriate threshold performance can progress to study an additional year of study to achieve an MEng in Chemical Engineering by Distance Learning.
