The idea.

Our idea is to host a talent show called Pluto Has Talent. It is named Pluto Has Talent as it will take place in The Pluto Room.

We feel this talent show can benefit Red Dreams as it could help the name of The Pluto Room get out there as well as hopefully attract the attention of young people and make them want to join up and be a part of Red Dreams.

Min 12 Max 24

Winner of the Talent Show Gets A half price Red Dream Package (photo-shoot, record song, ect) Any Of the £50 packages

The contestants get shown around the Red Dreams Building and speak to them a few days before hand to get any backing tracks for the night .

Judge 3 – Laura Connor

Two Hosts

Host 1 - Joe

Contestants

Here we have our leaflet design; on the front of the leaflet we have: The time, date and ticket price with the address, email and phone number. On the back of the leaflet we have put a sign up sheet with the information that we need such as: Name, age, phone number, email, there talent and a box for their bio so they can add any other information.

This is the design for our ticket, as you can see it’s very simple, has the basic necessary details on, with room for the ticket stub to be either torn or stamped so the audience can come in and out as they please.

This is going to be our poster design, it’s the same design as the leaflet but it will obviously be a lot larger with no sign up sheet on the back.

Marketing Tactics

• Social Media Marketing – An obvious yet effective technique. We will be using Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) to reach a larger audience and let them know what’s going on, things like times, dates, locations and any other details.

• Using flyers, leaflets and posters – As seen in the above slides we have designed leaflets and posters that we will hand out and put up around various locations containing all information on the event.

• Media advertising – (Radio and Newspaper) Something we looked into but could end up being quiet expensive cost.

• Contact schools and colleges – We will contact schools and colleges not only to get an audience but to maybe get more contestants, hopefully leading to a larger audience.

Ciaran – Ciaran will be our sound tech and will be in charge of health and safety as well as setting up on the night.

John – John will be marketing the event as well as doing the stage management.

Other Staff

Extra sound tech – We will need an extra sound tech to work with Ciaran so his workload isn’t too much.

Film-maker – We will ask a film maker to film the event for the night.

We will also be asking an apprentice to work the tuck shop.

Health and Safety

Cover wires on stage to prevent falls while getting on and off stage

Know who the first aiders are

Know where the fire exits are and make sure they aren't blocked

Know the different types of fire extinguishers and what to use them on.

On the night the equipment we will need is the following - Microphones and Microphone Stand- Rubber Mats- Drum kits- Amps- Mixing Desk- Monitors- Main PA Speakers

Equipment

On our floor plan you can seewe have split the room intotwo different sections so thatpeople can be seated orstanding we will be having tables in the seated areaso people have places to putthere drinks without puttingthem on the floor.

We have the judges table right in front of the stage sothey can see the act clearlywith out people getting inthe judges way and thejudges aren’t in anybody wayas well.

Floor Plan

As you can see on our stage layout we have the wires covered up so that the contestants will not trip or fall . We have the drum kit far away from the edge so that there will be no accordance due to it been to close to the edge. If the contestants want guitars they will have to bring them there selves but we will help them set their guitars up and make sure that the wires are covered to prevent any accordance.
