The black background used here is a strong genre convention. This shows to the audience immediately that the album is of the Rock genre. The black connotes society and how the artists are non – conforming with society.

The large type face of the artist name makes it stand out compared to the title of the album. This could be to indicate that the band are more interested in promoting there name that the album name. The artists name could suggest that they have both a political message and also a social message for its listeners. The colour of the titles however follows the colour scheme so does not stand out in this respect.

We can see the band members using direct mode of address. This really attracts the audience members towards the band members. They are shaded very differently to the rest of the album. Both of theses features don’t really follow the genre convention that we see used by other artists of a similar genre, however it could also indicate that they are looking away from what is behind them and looking to the future.
