• What kind of make the restoration map?• The discuss of the map features:

shops, public facilities, tourism resources etc.• The development of pdf and/or paper based

auto-making restoration map using OSM data

• How to make the “Walking paper” and discuss to map

features for restoration map

• Fieldwork + GIGAPAN (Aoba-park shopping street)

• Hands-on lesson illustrated restoration map using JOSM

(with Walking paper) & Inkspace

• Help desk for the OSM

Why is need to make restoration map ?

(1) To response for local information “Up-to-date” Official guide by Chamber of Commerce 　⇔ OSM

• Restoration mapping– Up-to-date condition– volunteered activity– Sharing local knowledge with residents

• To construction of Kamaishi model– Map features & tags, OSM making methods,

making learning texts• Otsuchi-cho, Yamada-cho, Rikuzen-takada…– The consideration to different needs for restoration

Some challenges

• More active to the mapping by local residents– Development of volunteered/participated

local residential activity (framework, learning materials)

• The response to official restoration plans– Some region is not decide restoration plans yet.

• The special needs for restoration map features– The visualization of opening-closing time, holiday,

etc
