In Memory Team Support VolunteerProstate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Your support will help us deliver our ambitious strategy of taming prostate cancer in 10 years and improve the services we offer men and their families.

We are looking for a volunteer to help us with our In Memory fundraising through light clerical and administrative duties and thanking our In Memory supporters in our London Bridge office. We would also like support with our special Tribute Funds – online pages set up by supporters to fundraise and commemorate a loved one’s memory.

What I do

Sending thank you letters and writing bespoke condolence cards to donors who have supported us in memory of a loved one (including JustGiving, Virginmoney Giving and our Tribute Funds)

Setting up new Tribute Funds on Raiser’s Edge

Pre-enclosing materials for our In Memory packs

Assembling, personalising and sending out our follow up mailings to In Memory supporters

How I workThe practical nuts and boltsI report to: Laura Sparrow

Commitment: We encourage volunteers to give 2 days per week. However, any additional time offered would be welcome. We are also looking for someone who could commit for a minimum of 3 months.

Hours: Within our normal office hours

Training: We will provide you with ‘on the job’ training for all duties. We will also offer training on Raiser’s Edge (our database system), as well as any additional training on MS Office programmes. We will also train you to use MuchLoved, our Tribute Fund provider.

Volunteers will have access to our online e-learning portal which has various courses you can do while volunteering with us and you are also able to attend any in house face to face training that run while you are with us.
