ENGINEERED FOR SUPERIOR FUNCTION The STI developed 2011 platform has been putting faster follow up shots on target for years. The competitive shooting world was first to recognize and embrace the innovation and its appreciably superior performance advantages. You can more easily put multiple shots on target more accurately and rapidly thanks in large part to its modular assemblies, which helps to transfer kinetic energies on a much flatter plane. The handgun shooter is able to hold / maintain aim more accurately as felt recoil moves horizontally rather than the more typical vertical trajectory.

Non-competitive shooters have acknowledged the 2011 advantages as well. For the concealed carry and personal defense users, it means confidence in knowing that you can better control your shots. With the 2011’s modified recoil you are able to train and practice more comfortably, providing you the opportunity to perfect your skills. And, it features increased round capacity due to a double stack magazine design. Even with its increased round capacity, the 2011 platform has only a minimally increased grip circumference. Some argue that it actually feels more secure in the hand.Bottom line is that the 2011 has proven its significant accuracy, dependability and shooter performance enhancing qualities for decades—both on and off of the range.

Significant weight has been removed from the DVC slide in every possible way to better increase cycle rate, and the improved compensator alleviates muzzle jump. The barrel is finished with Titanium Nitride to increase surface hardness, lubricity and wear properties. The sear and hammer design give the gun a crisp consistent trigger with a shorter reset. Responsive handling and control is had by way of specialty texturing done by Extreme Shooters to give the shooter enhanced grip and improved ergonomics. The design of this series provides the shooter an out of the box accessory ready platform—made to the STI higher performance standards. The tall tritium sights are designed to co-witness with your optic as well as allow you to see both your target and sights, over your suppressor. Its island comp BBL is machined from a single piece of stainless steel, which eliminates timing issues and the potential to come loose. The Apeiro features a unique “Island” barrel. The front sight is dovetailed into the barrel instead of the slide, creating additional material on the top of the barrel. So, the increased barrel weight combined with the reduction in slide weight means less recoil, and faster cycling with more accurate follow up shots. The cuts also improve barrel to slide lockup meaning increased accuracy as well. The Apeiro’s slide is stainless steel and features the Sabre-Tooth cuts. CeraKote™ is first applied to the entire slide and the flats are then polished to give it a more durable and attractive two-tone look.

The STI International slides are CNC milled from pre-hardened bar stock 4140 carbon steel to ensure slide rail exactness. The breech face is wire EDM cut for maximum precision angle. STI offers a 5.00” slide. The slides have lowered and flared ejection ports (largest in the industry) for reliable case ejection. STI offers a variety of options on our slides that can save time in the final assembly of a high quality pistol.

FRAMES1911 FRAME KITS 2011 FRAME KITS

The STI 2011® Frame is manufactured from 4140 Maxell Alloy steel, pre-cut for high ride beavertail grip safety and ambidextrous thumb safety con-figuration. The frame is CNC milled billet, creating a very accurate frame to build the highest quality pistols. The innovative frame design preserves the 17 degree angle of grip in relation to the slide, original to the 1911. The essential design element for high capacity, the 2011 grip, is made from glass filled nylon polymer and is checkered with 30 LPI in the complete front strap and 25 LPI on the trigger guard. To increase strength and durability, metal inserts are molded into the grip to allow metal to metal contact with the frame. All frame kits include: frame, grip, maga-zine release, mainspring housing and trigger.

bARRELSSTI barrels are made from 416 rifle grade stainless steel billet forgings. The bore is gun drilled, button rifled, then air gauged to offer the most exacting size, and most consistent barrel available. The rifling is 1 in 16 twist and has six lands and grooves. The barrels are vacuum heat treated and vacuum tempered to 40 Rockwell, then machined to exacting specifications. The barrels are short chambered to allow gunsmiths to cut the chamber to their application.

RECOIL MASTERS & SPRINGSThe STI Recoil Master is designed to achieve softer recoil and bring the pistol back to point of aim quicker by using two springs for recoil verses the traditional single spring. The 5.00” Recoil Master will fit all government model 1911 style pistols. (Some fitting may be required for non-STI firearms.) The 4.15” and 3.90” are designed for STI pistols only.Note: The primary spring on your STI Recoil Master should be changed out every 5000 rounds, and the Recoil Master itself replaced after 25,000 rounds. Failure to do so can result in damage to your pistol.

The STI high rise beavertail Grip Safety is designed for all 1911 and 2011 pistols. It is produced out of 4140 steel or 17-4 stainless steel. The safety arm is pre-notched, has a deeper strut groove, and pre-cut knuckle clear-ance, providing positive safety activation and comfortable high grip. STI 2011 magazines are built specifically for all STI 2011 style pistols and frames.
