On behalf of all the team at IBAA we want to welcome you to the 2012 RAW Nationals & Rebel Pro.

Surf Beach in Kiama, NSW is again the setting for the week with around 300 of Australia’s best riders converging on the cozy holiday hamlet of Kiama to do battle for the mantel of Australia’s best bodyboarder.

The dates have been set for November 26th –December 2rd 2012.

The RAW National’s is recognized as one of the biggest

amateur events in bodyboarding in the Southern

Hemisphere. Your Official Guide will show you everything

you need to know about the contest and what’s happening

around it.

IBAA are proud to be working with ASSA (Australian

School Surfing Association) to deliver the 2nd UNITE

School Bodyboarding titles.

After the success of last years event the word got out and

now we have around 50 bodyboarders representing their

school to claim the John Eppo Cup (Teams event) and the

U/19 & U/16 titles.

John Eppulstun was the first president of BBNSW and it’s

in his honour that we wish all competitors the best of luck

in this 1-Day bonanza of bodyboarding!

The wedgy left peaks are perfectly suited towards high performance bodyboarding. The event will be set up in the park next to the Kiama SLSC..

Event Backup Location - Werrie Beach & Bombo These venues will only be used in extreme circumstances that force us to move.

The last three days of the carnival will see some of the

worlds best riders exchange blows in a heavyweight hit

out of the professionals in the Rebel Pro, a 3 Star event

offering 1000 points to the winner and $10,000 cash!

The Rebel Sport Pro Tour has 4 stops in 2012 including:

The BOX Pro WA $35,000

Port Mac Pro NSW $25,000

Box Beach Pro NSW $10,000

Rebel Pro NSW $10,000

The 31st Raw Australasian Titles is the culmination of a

series of testing State eliminations around the country

and NZ. The tops placed competitors then represent their

respective State/Country at this National level to take

home the title of Australasian Champion.

This is the pinnacle of amateur competition and a very

important step towards being a professional Bodyboarder.

The Gala Presentation night will be staged Sunday night

(Dec 2nd) at 6.30pm at The Pavilion just across from Surf

Beach Kiama.

It features a three-course meal, live music and lots of

awards and is FREE for competitors in the RAW Nationals

only.

PLEASE NOTE: The FREE meal is not for managers, parents, coaches or family members.

Additional seats are available but very limited at a cost of

$45 per person. These will be available from the admin

area at the event until sold out. (no tickets at the door)

Alternatively there is a chill-out zone just off the

auditorium where people can wait until the meals are

finished, but get in early to get a ticket.

No awards will be issued during the meal however there

be several giveaways and key speakers as well as an

audiovisual presentation of the weeks action.
