Narrative starts at 6” about video. Quiet music in the
background to suggest peacefulness, however in a
cabin in the woods. Scenes fade in and out from black, slow
cuts.
Video plays at 14”. Scene transition turns into jump cuts within a second. Crackling old video player noise to create
tension. When the scene turns to a well, plays for 2 seconds
instead of 1. Scene jump cuts to diegetic phone ringing. Still voiceover in background to
accompany the visual.

Production company logo at 31”
Scene cuts to black at 39” and non-diegetic music changes and gets louder. Scene then fades in to a funeral of girl in previous scenes. Non-diegetic music he’s back to previous to create peacefulness.
Scenes last for 4 seconds on average and fade to black. Sound bridge carries on.
Scene becomes slow motion at 1’05” to emphasize tape being
put in her back. Music also becomes slightly slower.
Woman watches tape, diegetic sound of a phone ringing. As she picks up the phone, the music becomes quicker and
louder. The music then stops when the voice says “Seven
Days”. Scene then cuts to black at 1’24”.
Sound bridge changes to quicker, upbeat music to accompany the scenes
becoming shorter, on average 2 seconds.
Killer revealed at 1’50”
Scene fades to black at 1’55” after woman
screams to create fear and danger.
Visual back at 1’58”, sound bridge has changed again to
high pitched piano music. Scenes last for a second before jump cuts. Killer is shown again
at 2’06”
Killer shown again at 2’12”, 2’14”, 2’18”
and 2’21”
Scenes become quicker and music becomes faster. Until the visual shows a
little girl climbing out of a TV set. The scene then cuts to a black screen and
the music becomes quieter.
Scene then fades to a child on the floor. Diegetic
sound of phone crackling and someone saying
“Seven Days” to the child. Music them stops
completely.
