President’s Message Ho, Ho, Ho Roanoke Ski Club. The club’s elves have been hard at work this past month getting ready
for the holidays. We have several tasks for you to complete to make sure you all are on Santa’s Nice
List!

TRIPS! TRIPS! TRIPS! All of our long-distance trips are now sold out and trip leaders are taking names for a wait list,
as cancellations are common. Just contact the trip leader – no deposit required (you must be a
club member to get on a wait list).
New service – Ship Skis – Door to Door service!
The RSC is pleased to offer a new service called Ship Skis. This company comes TO YOUR
DOOR to pick up your skis (and/or luggage) and ship them to the resort in advance of your
arrival. This service saves you the hassle of schlepping your skis and luggage through the
airport. It will also save the expense of paying the airline for extra luggage, so the net cost of
this service is reasonable. They provide real-time tracking, 24/7 customer service, and an on-

I wish I had used this service on a trip to Greece a couple of years ago. My checked bag didn’t
arrive until I had been there for 5 days!

Membership dues are: $35 for individual, $50 for family and $40 single family. Our Membership year runs from July 1st through June 30th of the following year. Membership applications received on or after April 1st will extend through June 30th of the following year. Please remember that your membership must be up-to-date before registering for any trips.
