Hey Tigers!I hope you all didn’t eat TOO much on Thanksgiving! I also hope dues wasn’t too much of a burden this year! Our division currently has two clubs with dues submitted on time. A HUGE shoutout to the Key Clubs of Steilacoom, Washington, and Franklin Pierce! It’s not too late to turn in your dues! In fact, please do! Not submitting your dues can lead to an inactive club status, which none of us want. You’ll have to pay a hefty reactivation fee that could easily be avoided. Anyway, IT’S FINALLY DECEMBER! Can you guys believe it? Only FOUR more months until DCON 2015! Just another reminder that follows DCON: registration closes January 24th, 2015, meaning if your clubs primarily send incoming officers, club elections should be held either this month or very early January. Spirit packs and T-Shirt designs have also been flowing in, if you have a design, either email it to me or send it through a Facebook message! Thank you, and I’ll see you soon tigers. <3

The Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) is an endowed fund for Key Club International held within the Kiwanis International Foundation.
This fund uses earned interest to help Key Clubs and Key Club members serve the world by providing grants for service opportunities. The fund also provides academic scholarships for higher education. The Youth Opportunities Fund is established through a portion of your Key Club International dues and through the purchase of G. Harold Martin Fellowships.
YOF grants can help you take action. Look around and identify the things that need to get done in your school, community or world.
This being said, all clubs are encouraged to apply for YOF grants if you have a service project in mind that may be costly. Keep the YOF in mind throughout your term and present your application to your Lieutenant Governor to review and help you through the application process.

NOVEMBER DCMRECAP
“On November 19th, a DCM meeting was taken place at my schools cafeteria (FPHS). Key club members from Schools in our district came together bringing smiles and laughter and great memories. We discussed and recognized many great volunteer community service that our members contributed in. We gathered around enjoying games to get to know one another. This experience brought many members closer together and that helping in the community is a wonderful gift for others. I personally enjoyed getting to know new members that helped in their community. Their strength and courage to go out there and spread the key club spirit. This DCM meeting was very successful and I can't wait for another meeting soon to come this month!”
