Hey Tigers!I hope you all had an amazing summer! I know the majority of you are sad, but think on the bright side: KEY CLUB MEETINGS! I hope you all have successful first meetings and a bright, fun year in service! I plan to visit every club at least once within the next two months as well as finish up officer training for those who never signed up at the August DCM! Also, whenever your club hosts a fundraiser or service project, let me know and give me the details so I can publicize it in The Roaring Times! Thank you and see you soon Tigers!

Since 1994, Key Club has been-or-Treating for UNICEF over the years has raised nearly US$5 million for iodine deficiency programs worldwide and HIV and AIDS programs in Kenya and Swaziland. Now it’s helping Eliminate Project.

MARCH OF DIMESFor decades, Key Club has partnered with the March of Dimes to give every baby a healthy start. Key Club members raise thousands of dollars annually through various programs, including collecting change, holding dances and taking part in March of Dimes’ signature event, March for Babies.
Key Club participates with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by sponsoring fundraising events. Key Club members also participate in service projects at their local children’s hospital.

The Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) is an endowed fund for Key Club International held within the Kiwanis International Foundation.
This fund uses earned interest to help Key Clubs and Key Club members serve the world by providing grants for service opportunities. The fund also provides academic scholarships for higher education. The Youth Opportunities Fund is established through a portion of your Key Club International dues and through the purchase of G. Harold Martin Fellowships.
YOF grants can help you take action. Look around and identify the things that need to get done in your school, community or world.
This being said, all clubs are encouraged to apply for YOF grants if you have a service project in mind that may be costly. Keep the YOF in mind throughout your term and present your application to your Lieutenant Governor to review and help you through the application process.

AUGUST DCM
RECAP“On August 25th, we had a capture
the flag & a clean up the park DCM! We had 15 people attend, and we had guests from divisions 32, 33, and 34! The capture the flag event split everyone into 2 teams, the Mint Chocolate Chips, versus the Orange Juliuses. The whole game was a lot fun, with a lot of tug of wars over the halfway point, with the team members as the rope. However, at the end of the day; the Mint Chocolate Chips reigned supreme. But overall as Key Clubbers, we love to give back to the community; so after the whole game we all got into groups to pick up trash and clean up

Key Leader is a weekend experiential leadership program for today's young leaders. This life-changing event focuses on service leadership as the first, most meaningful leadership-development experience. A Key Leader will learn the most important lesson of leadership—it comes from helping others succeed.

Key Club is in full bloom, and I can’t wait to see what your clubs are doing for service and fundraisers! Remember, if you show how passionate you are for Key Club others will be inspired to join. Be proud to be a Key Clubber and remember to exemplify leadership and character, while always being inclusive and caring to those around you.
Meeting all of you at the rallies was so inspiring; you are all constantly dedicating your time and love to the communities across the Pacific Northwest. I love how you represent key club with your pride and spirit while showing the dedication and compassion you hold for others.
