NOVEMBER’S MASSES FOR ALL SOULS

During November all Masses are offered for deceased parishioners of both par-ishes Sacred Heart and St Margaret's. If you would like to have your deceased loved ones enrolled in these Masses, please list their names on the Novem-ber’s Masses reply envelopes and return it to the sacristy. Envelopes are available in the back of the church. Names of your loved ones may be enrolled in the Novem-ber’s Masses at any time during Novem-ber. Their names will then be placed on the Altar as we hold them in prayerful re-membrance before the Lord and will be mentioned in bidding prayers.

FOSH The next Friends of Sacred Heart meeting is on Tuesday 8 November at 7:30 in the Michael Room. All parishio-ners are welcome to attend. Many thanks for your support at the recent Quiz Evening. The event raised £330.

SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS

Tuesday 1st November is the Solemnity of All Saints, a holyday of obligation.

Holy Masses: Vigil Mass: Monday 31st October 7.00pm - Sacred Heart Church, Penicuik. All Saints: Tuesday 1st November 9.30am - St Margaret’s Church; 11.00am - Sacred Heart Church.

COMMEMORATION OF ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED

Wednesday 2nd November is the Commemoration of all the faithful

departed. Holy Masses: 9.30am - St Margaret’s Church 11.00am - Sacred Heart Church 7.00pm - Sacred Heart Church

Plenary Indulgence for the souls in Purgatory from mid-day 1st November to midnight 2nd. Similarly any day from 1st to 8th November for visiting a cemetery and praying for those buried there.

CHURCH CLEANING We are delighted to welcome a group of young parishioners who will now do our church cleaning. A very big “Thank You” to all our not so young parishioners who have cleaned the church over many years.
