Exciting News for 2017 As many of you may know by now I started Notary2Pro back in 2009 at the age of 66, after retiring as an
Escrow Manager, and after working as a Notary Signing Agent for 8 years. My goal was, is and always will be
to raise the bar in this industry by providing comprehensive training to Professional Notary Signing
Agents. Now 8 years later, we are achieving our goal and have earned an excellent reputation in the Na-
tional arena, providing companies all over the country with the best of the best signing agents!
A few things are being added to Notary2Pro for the benefit of our students:
EXPERTS: We have grouped together Notary Signing Agents who are experts in areas which provide
additional income for their notary businesses. As outlined in this newsletter, these experts will
present to our Graduate’s information about their field of expertise. If our Graduate would like the
opportunity to learn more, our expert will train and personally mentor them. Mentoring is a huge
factor for anyone trying to learn something they are not familiar with and can mean the difference
between success and failure.
SUBSCRIPTIONS: Many of our students, after completing the courses ask to be able to have access to
our website year after year so they can refresh themselves on one of the courses, take advantage of
the Additional Resources available and to learn about anything new that may influence their busi-
ness. We have created a Subscription plan effective January 1, 2017. The student can have access for
one year after their enrollment expires at a cost. An automatic deduction to their credit card of
$30.00 each quarter will make it easy for them or they can pay $100.00 for the year. Subscription
enrollment can be found on our Registration page.
LIBRARY: So much of what we offer students is NOT in included in the course material or it would take
them weeks to complete the courses instead of days. Our Additional Resources are now going to be
in our Library and will include the existing audio recordings, teleconferences, videos and printed
material. In addition, I will be creating a lot of short videos which will answer so many of the ques-
tions that students have. Access to the Library is 24/7 making it very easy for students to get an-
swers quickly!
MENTORING: We offer mentoring to new students at a very low cost. I am their mentor and there is no
time limit on this service. I still have students from years ago, call me occasionally with a problem,
situation or question. Because so much of my time is spent mentoring we have created a calendar
on our Graduate’s website which will allow the graduate to set aside a time convenient for them
which will allow us uninterrupted time on the phone to discuss their situation. Everyone is warned
however, that if a student is in a signing and needs immediate assistance, I will put the mentoring
call on hold or call them right back.
My last thought is that things are constantly changing for Notary Signing Agents; so many new regulations
and demands can be difficult to deal with. Unfortunately we have seen an influx of so many new poorly or
untrained Notaries entering this field that is has taken a toll on those people we consider to be the true
professionals. One thing that is changing is the demand for better qualified NSAs and that can only be
good for those of you who are dedicated to doing great work and giving terrific customer service. Never
forget the value you give to your clients, and in exchange, make sure that you are aware of your expenses
and make enough money to sustain a profitable business!

Before establishing her own mobile no-tary service, Laura Biewer was both a successful business owner and corpo-rate executive. Laura began her career as a Quality Assurance Officer. Her job required ensuring compliance not only with company quality goals but federal and state regulations. The most com-pelling part of this work for Laura was protecting the public and ensuring the integrity of the company’s products. Laura founded At Your Service Mobile Notary in 2004 and became a Certified Notary Signing Agent that same year. In 2016, her business was named by Yelp! as a “top 10 notary service in the Modesto and surrounding areas”.

Camille Walters is the founder and owner of Camille Angela Services LLC, she is an accomplished New York Notary Public, Certified Signing Agent and Field Inspector, her pas-sion started in 2005 investing in real-estate, owning 6 residential proper-ties and 1 business. Her experience, knowledge and desire has allowed her to help others with their invest-ment and business endeavors. Scherrer became the 57th Notary Law Instructor for California to be Ven-dorized. She has taught in colleges, universities, adult schools, compa-nies, and private classes. She main-tains Vendor Approval annually from the Secretary of State. She has writ-ten, published, and copywritten 3 books: "Ten Steps to a Proper Nota-rization," "How to Become a Notary Signing Agent," and "Marketing $trategie$ for Notaries Public." She became one of the first National Notary Association's "Certified Nota-ry Instructor" in 1995 and that began her Notary teaching career. That and a Lifetime CA Teaching Credential helped launched her career. In 1994 she created the Central Valley Notary Task Force to improve educa-tion for Notaries. She persuaded DMV to travel to the Senior Centers in Stanislaus County so they could obtain Senior ID cards. She was the first to invite a County Recorder/Clerk to speak with Notaries.

Julie received her Notary Commission in 2011 and has been a Notary Signing Agent since 2012. She is president of Signed-N-Sealed and was awarded "Best of Colorado Springs: Notary Public" for 2015 and 2016. Her team of pro-vides Notary services to businesses, res-idents, and hospitals in her area. Julie regularly trains and mentors new Nota-ries and Signing Agents and was a work-shop presenter at 2016 National Notary Association conference. 1 Plus 1 Mobile Notary Public, LLC was founded in April 2016 by Laurie and Frank Morales. We wrote our Mission Statement; “Provide quality outcomes we are proud of thru attention to detail and customer satisfaction while having fun working together” reflects the values of our Company. We believe in the im-portance of creating the highest possible level of service for clients by maintaining a high degree of accessibility, profession-alism and accountability. Our dream has always been to work together again.
We got interested in becoming No-
taries when we had our house refinanced and were talking to the signing agent. This intrigued us and we began searching for information on what a notary public does. Frank found a local instructor in Colorado Springs area and we signed up to attend training in March 2016. Our no-tary instructor, Jerry Lucas, owner of ABC Legal Docs (http://abclegaldocs.com/blog-Colorado-Notary/mobile-notary/) has been very helpful with information. His class was very in-teresting with history of public notaries. He remains very helpful as a point of con-tact for us. Upon completion of the train-ing, we successfully passed the State Ex-am. We submitted for our commissions in April 2016.
Once we received our commissions,
Frank filed with the state to create 1 Plus 1 Mobile Notary Public, LLC. We created the website, business cards, email ac-counts and our home office. We became members of NNA (National Notary Asso-ciation) and AAN (American Association of Notaries). I visited every business building down town and introduced my-self and 1 Plus 1 Mobile Notary Public. Everyone was helpful and I left our busi-ness cards to market our business.
I did my first acknowledgement for
a co-worker and received some calls from Assisted Living facilities. Unfortunately, we did not receive any new business re-quests or signing offers We contacted our
Notary instructor Jerry Lucas and asked about other classes and recommenda-tions to get our business going. He highly recommended Notary2Pro. We signed up and have taken all the classes offered by Notary2Pro. A huge shout out to Carol Ray and Barbara. We have accounts with Notary Café, Notarize This, Notary Gadg-et, Our Records, SnapDocs, and Thumb-Tack.
We had our first reverse mortgage
signing on 26 Oct 2016 and the first thing we did was to call Carol Ray for help. She was really helpful and told us what to look for. Laurie and I checked and re-checked the paper work. It was a nerve racking and the best experience ever! We did not have 100% with all areas initials, (we missed 2 areas), we did what Carol suggested to quickly get everything cor-rected professionally. What a learning experience!
We continue to work on marketing
and growing our business every day while still working full time jobs. We en-joy the opportunity to work together and establish a reputation as the “go to com-pany” in our area. We welcome all sug-gestions to better our business. We are truly impressed with the support we have received from master Notaries around America.
