with colorful cloths And bells are hung around their necks. It is believed

that the ringing bells will be heard in heaven and those elephants will become

human after death.

Si Satchanalai Historical Park – is located on the bank of the Yom River at Tambon Muang Kao, Amphoe Si Satchanalai. The ancient town, formerly called “Maung Chaliang,” was named “Si Satchanalai” during the reign of Phra Ruang when a new administrative center was established to replace Chaliang.
