Dear Parents

Another wonderful week at Smallberry Green. We feel fully underway now and love seeing the children all work so hard.

As the weather gets colder, please can we ensure children come to school with warm clothes on, including coats. Please remember to put your child’s name in all cloth-ing.

It was a wonderful chance for myself and Ms Holton to share what the year ahead holds for each of the year groups. For all those who were unable to make it, we will be adding some information on to our website.

Year 2 really enjoyed their visit to London Zoo this week. The sun shone and a huge amount of animals were spotted! A huge thank you to all adult helps who came along - we couldn’t do it without you!

This Wednesday we celebrated European Day of Languages with some amaz-

ing, themed activities organised by Ms Douglas Bhanot. We all loved learning new words from cultures different to our own. Our taste buds and eyes have been opened!

I know we mention it every week, but parents are still parking outside on the double yellow lines. Please do not compromise the safety of our school. Many thanks in advance.

We have a Harvest Festival celebration next Friday. More details in the rest of the newsletter, however please do donate if you can. We are so grateful for all the kind and generous donations we have had in the past.

Please note our Nursery and Reception Coffee mornings next week. It would be lovely to see as many of you there as possible and a great way for us to talk about the start of the year and things to come.

HARVEST FESTIVAL FOOD COLLECTION

FOR HOUNSLOW COMMUNITY FOODBOX Next Friday we will be celebrating Harvest Festival with a lovely Assembly for Years 1-6.

Last year our school organized a Harvest Festival collection of food, which we donated to the HOUNSLOW COMMUNITY FOODBOX. This year, we will be doing the same, so please bring along non-perishable, unopened foods to your classroom by next Friday. The class with the big-gest collection will be awarded a prize!

This community support and coming together means a huge deal to us as a school. Last year, this amazing charity helped over 15,000 local people. They really does fantastic work and we look forward to working with them again this year.

**PLEASE DONATE NON-PERISHABLE, IN DATE, UNOPENENED FOOD BY NEXT FRIDAY - A HUGE THANK YOU!**
