Professional Background and Basic Deficits

Creating a regional digital library = “engineering” librarianship.

Preparation of the digital content. ->how to cut costs?

50 contributors and different levels of competence.

-> how to make the transfer of skills?

Participants’ lack of equipment. -> how to fill the gaps?

Internet as an eighth wonder of the world - curiosity. The globe's wide range of communication services, new opportunities, personal

use (information, development of passion, contact with loved ones, reducing the cost of living).

The value of digitization - giving meaning.”Librarians want to show the content, which is diffcult to obtain, preserve for future

generations, provide broad access to cultural content, education, research, promote the city, region and institutions”.

Really, it's hard to break anything - filling of confidence.Getting familiar with the equipment to provide them a sense of security.

Computer skills - providing competence.Organisation of workshops - the use of computer and Internet services (e-mail, Web,

instant messaging and interesting sites).
