Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, . . . thou hast delivered thy soul." Ezekiel 33:7-9.

According to the webster dictionary 1828 n. [watch and man.] A sentinel; a guard.

A watchman warns people of impending danger. As Christians we should warn people of God’s judgement and his soon appearing.

not eat meaning they do not study.

Lacking interest in Church activities might just mean you are dead.

There are shows, lectures, and an endless variety of entertainments that are calculated to lead to a love of the world; and through this union with the world, faith is weakened.”

Problems in being a watchman today

We are living in a fast-tech world.

∞ We have indisputably the best communication devices history has ever seen.

∞ Medicine has advanced so much. We hear of heart transplants ,lung transplants and infinitely many other advancements.


≥ This generation has information and its finger tips. The world has indeed become one global village.

≥ From where we stand it seems to be that the evolutionists and scientists are correct in saying that the human nature is developing and advancing contrary to the degeneration prophesied in the bible.


Wait a minute, is this really so?The bible teaches us that there is nothing new under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 1:9

“ The thing that hath been, it [is that] which shall be; and that which is done [is] that which shall be done: and [there is] no new [thing] under the sun.

1:10 Is there [any] thing whereof it may be said, See, this [is] new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.”


This means:-i. We can safely observe how our forerunners

lived and extrapolate valuable lessons of life.

Hebrews 6:20

ii. Learn and avoid the mistakes they did.

iii. Learn how to bring people to God by studying how the patriarchs did it.


“ Many of these professed Christians dress, talk, and act like the world, and the only thing by which they may be known is their profession. Though they profess to be looking for Christ, their conversation is not in heaven, but on worldly things. "What manner of persons" ought those to be "in all holy conversation and godliness," who profess to be "looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God." 2 Peter 3:11, 12. "Every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure." 1 John 3:3. But it is evident that many who bear the name of Adventist study more to decorate their bodies and to appear well in the eyes of the world than they do to learn from the Word of God how they may be approved of Him.”

Jesus is calling Matthew 24:32 -33 “Now learn a parable of the fig tree;

When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer [is] nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, [even] at the doors.”

Rev 18:4 - And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
