Hello Mopar Friends, I am sad to report that Marc Wadley has resigned as President of our club, his resignation is enclosed. In the last 2 years plus under Marc's leadership Cowtown Mopars has grown consid-erably as a group. We have become more active in many ways (show team, race team...), picnics... , I could go on. The bottom line is I would like to thank Marc and his family for all of their time and efforts, they are GREATLY appreciated. THANK YOU MARC, RONDA and MARCUS for everything you have done! We had another good time at the picnic/poker run/meeting the 3rd Sunday in May. If you missed it you missed a great time. Don't worry we will have another one later this year. Thanks to Ken and Willie for cooking! Thanks to Mike for mapping the poker run! Thanks to Kelly for securing the park for us! Thanks to Marc and Bernie for getting the food and drinks! And thanks to everyone for being there so we could all have a great time! We always have room for more, join us when you can. Sunday June 1st we had the TMCCC race in Oklahoma at the Thunder Valley raceway. We do not have the final numbers yet, but we did GREAT. Thanks to everyone who made the trip

and shared some cake with me. It was a good day for Cowtown Racers. We had a lot of support from our Oklahoma Mopar friends (THANK YOU for your support). We had 5 finals winners, 5 runners up and 3 semi finalists. That is some goooood racing. I hope we do it again June 29th at Red Line (rain-out

date). There is not going to be as many events on the calendar in the next 2 month, so I hope to see ya at Scotty's, club meetings, racing or some of the local car shows. Let's support the Oklahoma Mopar club Saturday the 21st of June. Dan Robinson and I plan to go. Give one of us a call if you would like to caravan up there. I would like to welcome Mike Miller as the new Vice President and Sandi Powell as our new fashion coordinator. Thank you both for helping out. I'm not the treasurer, but I believe I count 10 thank, thanks or thank you's in my first Presi-dents column. As you can tell I'm very thank-ful!! See ya soon Beep Beep! Mark Buchanan Cowtown Mopars President

I feel like this is the greatest car club in the state. I would like to see it continue to grow. Lots of people in this club have worked very hard, so our club could be brought up to the 21st Century. I will always continue to be there for the club in any way in which I could help. If there is anything I can do for anyone,

please email me or drop me a line. I have made lots of good friends in the club and hope to make many more. Respectfully Your Former President Marc Wadley

Hello Club Members This is one of the hardest things that I have ever had to write. I have to let all club mem-bers know that I resigned as President of Cowtown Mopars as of June 10, 2003. I hope this does not cause any ill feelings with the club. I will still continue to be a club member. But due to circumstances of con-troversy in the Board, I have resigned. The way that my time is right now with job & fam-ily, I do not have enough time to put up with prob-lems of controversy and family also. I would never do anything to embarrass the club or its members. But at this time I don't feel like I can conduct myself as President in a calm manner in which the club deserves.

A clear, warm, day greeted the Cow-town Mopars membership at the Elm Grove pavilion in River Legacy park in Arlington for their annual spring picnic and poker run held on May 18th. Web blaster Mike Miller set up and monitored the scenic poker run with which ended around noon, just in time for burgers and hot dogs fresh off the fire with all the extra goodies and dishes brought by the members. While the club members were spending some down time enjoying the eats and drinks, on-lookers enjoyed and admired the selection of cars parked in the lot. Vice President Mark

Buchanan called a brief meeting at 2:05 pm. Upcoming schedules and events were announced, car show results and poker run results were read to the membership. door prizes were given away and the 50/50 pot was also announced. The meet-ing was then adjourned at 2:40 pm where so-longs and see you next time were

heard. See you next time......Ken Respectfully submitted by: Ken Angyal, Secretary Cowtown Mopars

Hot Rod Power Tour Club members Bob Graham and Gary Powell just returned from the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour. They both made the Long Haul driving their HEMI cars from start to finish. Bob said he was having a little problem with the car running a little rich and some of the Mopars guys jumped in and with a metering rod change got the car running right and his mileage went from 9 or 10 to 15 mpg......awesome for a HEMI! He said they were tired but had a blast. We talked to a lot of the Mopar folks and found out that many of them have gone on the tour several times. One car that was along for the long haul was an Australian built Chrysler "UTE" powered by the Baby Hemi, a variant of the 225 slant six that is 265 CID , has a 4 bbl carb and headers. It looked like a Dodge Dart that had been made into a pickup....really neat! Rumor has it that the power tour will start in Ft. Worth next year and end up in Reno, Nevada. Might be an opportunity for a few more of our members to join in on the fun. Visit the web site and look at some of the photos I took. Mike Miller

Cowtown Mopars Spring Picnic For those of you who did not come out for the picnic missed some great weather and great fun. Attendance was down a little from previous picnics but we did have a good turnout. The board members got together and voted for the top 7 cars in attendance with Ken and Lesa Key getting the most votes. The WebBlaster set up a poker run for the picnic and we all had fun driving thru the countryside, enjoying the weather and collecting various items along the way. Each entrant had to answer some questions when they re-turned and collect a few things for bonus points. It is amazing how many people think Black Eyed Susan's are baby sunflowers! Danny Henslee had the best poker hand...three Queens... and won $50.00 for his efforts. Kelly Hilla won $26.00 for his three 9's. Dan Robinson and Gary Bradshaw tied for the points on the questionnaire and both received a nice door prize. Mike Miller Enjoy the following Photos.

Dodge Charger Meet At Ardmore OK. Cowtown Mopar members were tops at the 15th Annual Dodge Charger Meet for Region 4. Most cars & owners were from Texas & by my count, FW/Dal area. Cowtown Team #1 again. Steve & Kassie Knight moved from Kansas a couple of years ago, glad you are here now. Royce & Clydette Kidd from Boyd are at Boerne or other car meets, but this year brought a bright red w/white vinyl top, 3rd genera-tion nice Charger. Thanks for all the other members. Jim McCutcheon found some parts for his 68 and we might see it next year at Boerne 04. We had 96 Chargers at beautiful Pecan Grove Park at Lake Murray, Ardmore Ok. Beautiful weather and lots of visitors from camp-ing, cruises, other events. We had a good time and meet new people from 9 states and Canada. Carl (Cam) Cameron and Susan were with us all around. Carl designed the 66-67 Charger and a list of other Chrysler products we all admire and love. He told 2 hours of stories on how a product develops and is planned, designed, engineered, and produced. He worked at Chrysler over 30 years. Still going back frequently to advise (good). He said he did not think this many 1st generation chargers still existed. Carl is going to most Charger Meets this year. Be there if you can. He had drawings for sale and exhibit on early 60's cars. We had to cut his Saturday night story short at 9PM so over 30 Chargers and local Mopars could cruise to and take over the local Sonic Drive-In. What a fun time. Some went street racing (uncool), got caught, got lucky, Mr. Wayne Wooten got'em out of hot water. Some of us including Carl, Susan, Wayne & Donna Wooten, listened to C&W singer, train engineer, '69 RT/SE owner of most desirable Charger, in the lobby of hotel, Red Kilbee, assisted by his wife with water & coffee, for hoarseness. Just think, Red sings better hoarse than some do clear. He could quit his day job. I saw pics of his fresh resto of "Babe" the most wanted, desirable Charger. The South Dakota region director Jerry Moore had a limelight '70 RT in an enclosed trailer with TDC Logo. Real nice car, trailer, & Dodge Cummins all the way from Rapid City South Dakota. Most trailered cars were pulled by the most dependable, desirable, lasting trucks DODGE of course. The Sun-day awards were just great with over 70 Chargers still there. Hope your next Mopar or 2nd one is a Charger. Thanks and have fun and keep Charging safely. I had wanted a Neon R/T (with stripes) ever since I saw my first one In 1997. Then in 2001 Kelly brought home a RAM SS/T (with stripes). I was jealous and about 2 months later as we headed to Fort Worth down hwy 377 there it was same color same stripes. Gotta have it! The rest is history. She’s been with me ever since. This 1998 Dodge Neon R/T 2.0 DOHC has been fitted with 8mm Wires , K&N Cold Air System , Mopar Performance Header , B&M Short Throw Shifter , and a Borla Muffler to antagonize the imports. Hopefully in the near future I will own a Neon SRT/4. Heather Hilla
