lot of work, but we are here to help! Make your golf tournament

a success by using helpful hints from the pros.

Los Verdes would like to give a big thankyou to South Bay Police and Fire for

hosting a great event! Even though thissuccessful tournament has been runningfor over 20 years, they decided to add a

few additions to their event this year. TheGrassads sponsor logos caught everyone'sattention. These new, unique logos were

painted down on the grass and reallyimpressed the sponsors who participated.Sponsorship retention can be one of the

most difficult parts of a successfulfundraiser. If you are able to keep your

large sponsors year after year, you will beable to focus time on gaining new

sponsorships and donations. Sponsorsstick around when they feel they get value

from an event. When it comes tofundraising, this group really has it figured

out! Great job! Great event! Great Cause!

South Bay Police and Fire endeda great day on the course with

the perfect banquet. Smalltouches matter! This groupupgraded their menu and

showed a slide show of the days'photos that night! It really gave

this event a first class feel. Thesedetails made every golfer feelthat they the got their monies'

worth, and we cannot wait to bea part of the event again next

year!

What's New

Ball Drops are a new, excitingaddition to golf tournaments. This

brings in extra revenue, if executedproperly. With a ball drop, you can

sell to people that aren't evenattending the tournament. Anyone

can buy in and win! Werecommend sell balls at a minimum

of 1 ball for $10 and 3 balls for $25.Give away a flat $500 and the restwill be profit! When people buy agolf ball for the drop make sure to

capture their phone number andemail, and DON'T FORGET to add

to them to your database for nextyear's event.

Add a Putting Contest!This is added fun for your

golfers. Make it difficult so thatyou will only have one winner.Plus the challenge is part of thefun! Ask the golf course to set itup for you with some "natural"

obstacles.
