THRIVE focuses on Team-driven Health care that Respects the Individual and Values Emotions.
The THRIVE Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital treats a wide array of disorders of sexual development (DSD), complex urological and gender concerns for the pediatric patient. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary diagnosis, treatment and long-term management for all of our patients. Ultimately, our goal is to offer psychological and social support to patients and families through childhood, adolescence, and adulthood so can continue living healthy lives.

Expert Team. With a leading team of pediatric physicians, surgeons, nurses and mental health professionals, our program offers world-class expertise for treatment and support. The multidisciplinary program is comprised of experts in urology, endocrinology, genetics, psychology, psychiatry and social work.
Comprehensive Approach. We know that each patient with a DSD, complex urological, and/or gender concern is unique and each family has different priorities for service. Our program extends past simple diagnosis and treatment, and strives to partner with each individual patient and his/her family to provide comprehensive care that meets their long-term physical, social and emotional needs.
