Subject: Public Analyst Examination for the repeatersfor left unqualified papers — reg.
Further to FSSAI circular of even number dated 1stJanuary, 2012, it is, for those candidates who have leftunqualified papers in the Public Analyst Examination, willbe provided with a single attempt to appear in the PublicAnalyst examination as per old pattern. In case if they arenot qualifying the same then respective candidate have toappear as fresh candidate (if interested) as per the newpattern of examination for Food Analyst.
It is to further inform that for such candidates, FSSAIwill conduct Public Analyst examination in the month ofMarch, 2012 (tentatively) at Food Research andStandardization Laboratory (FRSL), Ahinsa Khand — II,Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.
The schedule of examination, the application form, feeswill be uploaded on FSSAI’s website at www.fssai.gov.in.

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 19Nostalgia was the flavour ofthe evening as Prime Minis-ter Manmohan Singh led agathering of ardent admirersof The Tribune in celebrat-ing the institution’s 130years of existence.
And to see the newspaperconquer another milestonewere people from variouswalks of life, from UnionMinisters and Chief Minis-ters of states to distinguishedpersonalities like Marshallof the Indian Air Force ArjanSingh whose special men-tion at today’s function byThe Tribune’s Editor-in-Chief Raj Chengappa invitedan instant applause, that thePrime Minister himself initi-ated from the dais he sharedwith The Tribune Trustees.
HRD Minister Kapil Sibaland Information and Broad-casting Minister AmbikaSoni took time off to walkdown the memory lane overa cup of tea with friends ofThe Tribune, many of whothey had not expected to see.
“We have attended manyfunctions in Delhi but nonehas had such fine quality ofpeople. Most of the gueststoday were people who asso-ciate themselves with TheTribune tradition.
The common thread thatbinds them is the love for thisnewspaper. I had not expect-ed to see Marshall ArjanSingh. I meet Kuldip Nayaroccasionally but I had notexpected to see his wifeBharti. There was nostalgiain the hall,” Ambika said.
Her Cabinet colleaguesHome Minister P Chi-dambaram,Housing&CultureMinister Kumari Selja andDelhi Lt Governor TejinderKhanna also graced the occa-sion as did Jammu and Kash-
mir Chief Minister OmarAbdullah who kept his reputa-tion of being an avid Twitterwhen he tweeted after leavingthe Vigyan Bhavan premises,“Congratulations to The Tri-bune newspaper for complet-ing 130 years; just attended afunction to mark the milestone.PM topped the guest list.”
Haryana Chief MinisterBhupinder Singh Hooda andHaryana Excise ministerKiran Chaudhry were alsoseen catching up with guests;as was Punjab Deputy ChiefMinister Sukhbir Singh Badal,who halted his hurricane cam-paign in poll bound Punjab toassert his connect with TheTribune. HRD Minister Sibalwas high on emotion as he
remembered his days inChandigarh: “I am a Chandi-garh boy and I have specialaffection for The Tribune. It ispart of my life. I believe if youlook at the quality of journal-ism around, The Tribune is apaper that can be counted asmaintaining the highest stan-dards of journalism. Itbelieves in very little sensa-tionalism, hard news and isequidistant from politics.”
Also present were foreigndiplomats including Pak-istan’s High Commissionerto India, Shahid Malik,Russian AmbassadorAlexander Kadakin andBangladesh High Commis-sioner to India Tariq Karim.
The guest list also had a
sprinkling of veteran journal-ists and editors like KuldipNayar, S. Nihal Singh, TNNinan, Suman Dubey andBG Varghese, who camewith his wife and son. Thepresence of former Tribuneeditors HK Dua and HariJaisingh and Editor-in-Chiefof the Press Trust of IndiaM.K. Razdan, made theevening even more special.
As Ambika Soni put it, “thejoy of the evening lay in thequality of guests”. The occa-sion had Press Council of IndiaChairperson JusticeMarkandey Katju and Chief ofthe Intelligence Bureau,Nachal Sandhu exchangenotes with guests, and otherdignitaries like former Rajya
Sabha member TarlochanSingh and Director of BhaiVeer Singh Sadan MohinderSingh talking about theirshared bond withTheTribune.
