When Father Ramsés was our associate he would have a Holy Hour every month on a Thursday or Friday. Whenever we have changes of associates, the ministries they were doing at the parish cease. This allows our new associates to have the opportunity to evaluate what giſts and ministries they wish to offer St Raphael. Also, I can’t in good conscience allow these monthly Holy Hours to connue while our Adoraon Chapel struggling to fill the many hours with adorers. I encourage those requesng the restoraon of the monthly Holy Hour to fill the hours in the chapel with your own private Holy Hour. When all our hours are filled with adorers, then Father Ramos & I will consider your request for a monthly Holy Hour. Below are all the available hours which need adorers. Following Noon Mass on the First Friday of every month, St. Raphael Church in Springdale offers a free Community Lunch as a new ministry. STEP (Stop To Eat Program) began January 2018 with Dc. Chuck & Anita Marino as coordina- tors of the program. Some 22+ Hispanic & Anglo parishioners volunteered to make sandwiches one day and serve the lunch the following day, which con- sists of a sandwich, chips, fruit, dessert & a drink. The response has been awe- some! About 25 people aended the first lunch which has expanded each month. July’s lunch served approximately 100 people. They ran out and had to quickly make more sandwiches. With school being out for the summer, more children are aending. “What is amazing is how the community has come together to serve others, and so far, no church funds have been used. Even though donaons WERE NOT sought, one parishioner donates meat & cheese for the sandwiches, an- other volunteer bakes homemade cookies and sll others have offered cash or have volunteered their me” said Dc.
