Start the Advent Season with the Forgotten Carols
Starring Emmy Award Winner Michael Young at AUMC,
Tuesday, November 28 – 6:30 PM
The “Forgotten Carols” Christmas musical starring Emmy
Award winning actor Michael Young and local performing
and recording artist Jacquie Cruz will be presented at
AUMC on Tuesday, November 28. Also featured will be
the Jubilate Singers and soloists Kim Talmage, Kevin
Duvall, and Gary Klarenbeek. The Forgotten Carols stage
performance tells the story of Connie Lou, a nurse whose
empty life is changed when Uncle John, a new patient she
is attending, recounts the story of Christ’s birth as told by
little-known characters in the nativity
story. The accounts from the Innkeeper, the Shepherd, and
others help the nurse discover what the world has forgotten
about Christmas, ultimately encouraging her to open her
heart to the joy of this special season. Young has a 25-year
entertainment career encompassing all areas of production. A
TV Emmy Award winner (recognized for ABC's Kids Are
People Too!, ESPN Sports, Young Talent Time, and CBS'
Miss Teen USA) he was also part of the launch teams at
CNBC and The Disney Channel. Young began his career at
QUBE, the world's first interactive TV network, created by
Warner Communications, where his show won cable TV's first ACE award for
entertainment series. Young would later host a game show of his own; a Florida
Lottery game show called Flamingo Fortune alongside Lisa Stahl. There are no
tickets required and a Love Offering will be received.
