JOHN SMITH (Ralph Rackstraw). After attending the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music and the Fine Arts Conservatory in Los Angeles, he sang with a number of opera and light opera groups in Southern California including the HoUj-wood Bowl Opera Association. John is active in folk singing and church choir activities in San Jose where he now res ides . He works in Sunnyvale as a Product Assurance Specialist with Lock -heed. PEISCILLA (MORROW) GOOZEE (Josephine). After winning a vocal scholarship given by Harry Herslifield, Pr i sc i l la studied voice at thejui l l iard School of Music and the Uta Hagen-Herbert Berghof School of Drama. She has appeared in summer stock on the east coast , in the south, and in Chicago; she has worked in radio and on TV for the Ford Motor Company, and in off-Broadway productions as well as on tours with such notables as Dennis Day, Gypsy Rose Lee, Jack Carson, Julie Newmar andothers . While performing in stock, Pr i sc i l la met and marr ied her stage manager, Sherwood Goozee, who has directed several productions for West A'alley. Pr i sc i l la appeared in West Valley's productionsof "OLIVER"and "HERE'S LOVE"in 1966.
WILLIAM COWL (Captain Corcoran). To l ist all of Bill 's appearances and notable stage personalit ies with whom he has played would require far more space than is available here . Briefly, he has played across the U. S. A. with opera and light opera groups and at hotels and clubs from Washington, D. C. through St. Louis to many locations in Nevada and California. Overseas Bill has played extensively in Europe and the Orient. During his ca ree r he has appeared with such notables as Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, P e r r y Como, Debbie Reynolds, Gordon MacRae, Marilyn Monroe, Fred MacMurray and many others. Bill appeared as Santa Claus in West Valley's production of "HEBE'S LOVE" in 1966.
KEITH BENTLEY (Sir Joseph Por t e r , IC C. B. ) After studying at the Pasadena Playhouse in 1943, he played in and was the Director of many all-Navy shows during the war days, then with John Carradine ' s Shakespearian Repertory Company in Los Angeles. In the late '40s he toured the nation for over two years with a professional Gilbert & Sullivan Repertory Company. In 1951 Keith helped organize The Lamplighters in San Francisco, a permanent Gilbert & Sullivan Repertory Company, with whom he played character leads for 13 years . During the past 3 years he has played the leads with the Gaslighters of San Jose , a melodrama group. He has played nearly every type role in plays during the past 25 years throughout the Bay Area, including the Actor 's Repertory Theatre and the San Jose Theatre Guild.
NANCY BENTLEY (Mrs. Cripps - Little Buttercup). Nancy majored in music and drama at San Francisco State College, louring California as a member of the college choir and singing with the San Francisco Symphony. She performed in the "SAINT OF BLEEKER STREET" West Coast P r e m i e r e , in "GUYS AND DOLLS", and other workshop productions, being a c tive with their "THREE PENNY OPERA" and others. Nancy sang leads with The Lamplighters of San Francisco for 6 years and has played character parts with The Gaslighters of San Jose for the past 3 years . For 15 years she has been costumer for various productions, including this production of "HMS PINAFORE".
