CHRIST IS RISEN! What an amazing day of celebration we had on Easter. I want to thank our altar guild team for decorating the sanctu-ary, our musicians for the wonderful music, our Confirmation team that lead our students to making their professions of faith, those that helped with setup and welcoming our guest, and our staff for doing an out-standing job. I know I am leaving someone out, thank you! It truly was a special Easter.

As I think about our Easter celebration and the first Easter, I find myself asking what next. In looking at the post resurrection accounts in the Gospels and the Book of Acts, I notice there is a lot of action. There are personal interactions with the Risen Savior and the disciples strug-gle to understand what is next. But the thing that jumps out at me is they all realize this is not the end of the story. There is work yet to be done. The disciples come to understand that they must tell everyone they can about what they have experienced.

As we go through this week after Easter, have you asked yourself what is next? How will you be part of sharing this amazing news with the world? We are given a charge at the end of Matthew’s Gospel, go and make disciples. This charge is not just for the first disciples. It is for you and I. We are to go and tell that Christ is Risen.

This Sunday, we have a great opportunity to go and tell. Our Great Day of Service is all about sharing the love of Christ with our community. I hope you and your family will plan to join us as we become the hands and feet of Christ. This is also a great opportunity to invite someone to join you. Many folks today are reluctant to attend church, but are willing to serve. Great Day of Service is a wonderful way for people to fellow-ship and do something positive for our community.

Easter Sunday may have passed, but the opportunity to tell and invite others to be part of the resurrection has not! ENGAGE with God, One Another, and our World.

Grace and Peace,

Bryan

Our church’s theme for 2018 is ENGAGE. We want to find meaningful ways to en-gage with Christ, one another, and our community. This will require us to be faithful with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness.

I pray that you will commit to ENGAGE this year. When we engage our lives are changed, our church is changed, and our world is changed. You will be hearing more about how you can ENGAGE in the coming weeks and months.

Ladies of WFUMC,

Thank you for the lovely luncheon for our family. We all enjoyed it so. We so ap-preciate your kindness & love

& friendship to mother (granny). She spoke so fondly & lovingly of her church family. Every-one meant so much to her as well as the church. She was so proud to be a member.

Sincerely,

Debra Wall and family
