A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Starting this year at The Word of God International University (WGIU), our hearts are light because of the presence of the LORD. It is our hope to see personal growth beyond imagination in the LORD. As we desire to see the hearts of students change and their eyes sparkle with faith, we are preparing them for the end of the age. Jesus will soon come. While waiting, watching and praying, we must instruct His people in the ways of wisdom that they, too, might go forth and do the will of the Father in the Spirit of His Love. As we look around, we see the lost everywhere, dying without God. We must to the best of our ability prepare our students to speak The Word of the LORD with faith.

We need to express God’s love. And at this Bible University, men and women will learn to love and share their lives God’s way. Selfishness must not be a part of our lives as we train to go out into His mission field. As students graduate, we are expecting to see fellowship houses, churches, and “soul-winning” universities started in different parts of the United States and throughout the world. Many missionaries will be sent to foreign soil to save the lost of all nations. We also expect to see men and women raised up in administration, able to handle the “Father’s business,” for it is written, "be not slothful in business.” God's business is the greatest business in the world!

So as you enter school this year seeking to learn the love of God and gain the ability to serve, we are praying that you will put the best you have into God’s work and learn to be like Jesus who gave His life for us that we might live. Things are changing everywhere in the world. We must change if we expect to love people God’s way. We must look forward to change in the lives of people who want to serve the LORD with all of their hearts, souls, and minds; encouraging them to get all their strength from the LORD before His return. God bless you!

With love in Christ Jesus, Dr. Joshua Smith, Chancellor

Knowledge of the Tree of Life

As you cross the threshold of the The Word of God International University

to learn and grow in the Kingdom Truths, you will have discovered the

Tree of Life!

Proverbs 3:15,18 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are not to be compared to her... She (Wisdom) is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retains her.

The Tree of Life is in the Garden of Eden and is also in the New Jerusalem.

DO NOT WAIT ~ REGISTER NOW!

Various and numerous opportunities with other colleges do exist, but this university excels over all. This is a “soul-winning” university, established for the purpose of teaching and training God's people...

Through a word of prophecy, given by Eldon Wilson, Leonard Fox, and many others over the life of Dr. Joshua Smith came the directions to “train ministers for God to realize the deep revelations of The Word of God." As the Lord continues to speak to him, God has commissioned him to train His people to establish ministries for Jesus Christ. Each and everyone of us most center our hearts in The Word of God. We must know The Word of God.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

This is the goal of The Word of God International University. Throughout this catalog, you will recognize that there is a definite way God has chosen those who want to go on to perfection with Him.

Welcome to

The Word of God International University

CONGRATULATIONS! You have selected the right Bible University!

Purpose

Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life. People all over the world are hungry to know Him, as well as learn about Him and His Word. The Word of God International University (WGIU), established by Loving to Learn Association, is centered in the LORD Jesus Christ. As a student, you will grow in Him and the knowledge of His Word. A setting completely devoted to helping Christians to learn the Bible and to develop their full potential as men and women of God, we are a Bible university – not a Christian liberal arts college. We’re simply and purely a school of The Bible.

Carrying out the Gospel of the Kingdom, WGIU is equipping God’s people with satellite, “local church” based locations, and educational resources for effective ministry. Some of our “local church” satellite campus locations will be in countries where there is great persecution of Christians, like China, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Kenya.

Based upon the Book of Acts model of local churches as centers for teaching the gospel, even these locations sponsor our university-level Christian education program using WGIU curriculum. Not only are we going to be located here, but countries throughout the world.

With our “soul-winning universities”, WGIU will become a worldwide, local church-based educational network, producing men and women with maturity of intellect, character, and Christian faith in preparation for life empowerment and service leadership skills, necessary for the fulfillment of the Gospel of The Kingdom…

History

A subsidiary of Overseer and His Successors, A Corporation Sole of Loving to Learn Association, The Word of God International University was founded through a vision that God gave Dr. Joshua Smith in 2002: Learn to Learn – Loving to Learn – Learning to Love. Someday, there will be hundreds of graduates of the university, practically all of which will walk with the Lord, serving Him throughout the United States and other countries of the world. Many will be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, missionaries, and Christian leaders.

God is moving by His Spirit all over the world. The Church of Jesus Christ is experiencing an overwhelming rate of growth, more so than at any other time in history. Each week an average of 1500 new churches are being birthed.

Millions of people are “true” Christians throughout the world today. However, the greatest harvest is still to come just around the corner, when billions will be reached with the Gospel. God is preparing to take His children through a time of shaking and rebuilding, as he removes “self” to form Christ and His love within each believer who will respond. God's great army is developing in these last days, preparing for the final showdown between good and evil.

Joel 2:7-8 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

Miracles, signs, and wonders will happen in abundance as God's people move in the greatest display of God's power in history. Millions of people will be won to Christ. As their faith becomes grows, they will go forth to win many more to the Lord. The Word of God International University is preparing students to be victorious in the midst of all that God has foreordained for these coming days.

If your goal is to obtain a degree or simply to take one or more Bible classes, call our office at your earliest convenience and make an orientation appointment with one of our university representatives. WGIU is a fully accredited academic institution of The National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance, a private, not public accreditation group.

DEGREE PROGRAMS

The Word of God International University offers several degree programs to fit the varying needs of individual students. The following describes the different degrees and requirements necessary to earn a degree.

We strongly encourage you to work toward your degree. However, some people may want to take "only a few courses in the Bible." This is always acceptable. We have arranged the schedule to compensate for such options. You may elect to take just one course or as many as you like. However, we suggest that you seriously consider working toward a degree. Through the degree program, there is a definite building of one course upon another throughout the planned curriculum. It is to one's advantage to set a goal.

The reward obtained through such an effort and the final attainment of a degree proves to be worthwhile in many ways. Today in our society, a university degree is a valuable asset. It demonstrates the tenacity of the students will to reach his objective. Students reveal themselves to be self-disciplined with an ability to broaden their perspective in life. An added advantage is that within the business world, it is considered that when a degree is earned each student has been trained in the basic elements that are conducive to the workplace, and will be able to function on a higher level in various positions. Knowledge is most important. Natural education and spiritual education will provide you with a more rewarding life on this planet. You will enjoy greater blessings on the New Earth if you will persevere in your quest to know the Lord more intimately.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Master of Divinity

The Master of Divinity is a graduate level degree program for students who have ten (10) years life-time achievement in Christian ministry and/or a Bachelor degree from an accredited or approved institution. This program is intended for students who are not accustomed to classical academic scholarship, but are practical, experiential achievers. It’s established for the active achiever on the go, known by their “fruit”.

A candidate must be nominated or recommended into this program and officially accepted as a candidate for the Master of Divinity by the Board of Trustees of Loving to Learn Association. Once a candidate, the student must fulfill an enrollment checklist. Requirements include, but are not limited to passing a comprehensive entrance exam; completing a well documented portfolio or notebook with plastic inserts covering a consistent ten (10) years Christian ministry; and, a thorough ministerial business plan. There is only one class required for the Master of Divinity degree: Ministerial Business Certification. Similar to an honorary doctorate degree, no transcripts for classes are given. Pre-requisites may be required. If the entrance exam is not passed, Intensive Bible Review must be taken and passed as a pre-requisite for this degree program. CURRICULUM

The Lord blessed The Word of God International University with an exceptional group of professors. Every course is alive, vibrant and a rich experience in the living Word. The course descriptions are encapsulated profiles of the contents of each course. Courses are listed in alphabetical order within each division of this catalog.

Schedule

Courses are scheduled and held by appointment only. A revised schedule of courses is prepared the beginning of each quarter and is available through the university office.

The Quarter System

Traditionally, a academic school year consisted of two (2) semesters. Today, many universities have "quarters" instead of two semesters. WGIU operates on the four-quarter system, which provides more opportunities to begin courses and expeditiously complete courses. Ten school weeks and a final exam week or eleven weeks in each quarter total forty-four weeks to comprise a full academic year.

Units of Credit

Generally speaking, each core course offered earns one and one-half (1.5) units of credit per quarter. The course description indicates the total number of units required to complete the course. For example, three (3) is for a two-quarter course; six (6) is for a four-quarter course.

Divisions

Lower Division Courses are those taken on by Freshman students during their initial or first year in the Associate of Theology program. Upper Division Courses are those taken on by Bachelor’s program students in their second year or after achieving an Associate degree. Graduate Courses are those offered students achieving a Bachelor’s for certificated credentials, achieving a Masters or a Doctorate Degree. Seminar courses and conferences are held on weekends as announced.

ACADEMIC CORE CURRICULUM LOWER DIVISION COURSES

Church History

Most people’s knowledge of the history of the Bible is like a string of graduated pearls without the string. This is so true of Christian history. Many people know the Bible characters; or, even principle events. But, they are hopelessly lost when called upon to connect the stories in order. Pick up the pearls in the Scriptures and string them in order; so that you will be enlightened through Christian history, understanding more completely God’s precepts, His purposes, and plans throughout time.

Christian Character

As a royal priesthood, Christians are called to selflessly reflect the glory of God to a broken, suffering world. Realizing the need for humility, this is done through becoming more like Jesus. The characteristic of humility is developed through the fruit of The Spirit with thoughtful, intentional, and spirit-led pursuit of the virtues of faith, hope and love.

The Book of Revelation

While John was on Patmos, God unveiled to him the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and what would soon come to pass, as a revelation unparalleled and the last to be given. With John’s revelation given, the New Testament canon of Holy Scriptures would be complete. The church would be secure. Every prophecy would be fulfilled, just as God said. This book of the Bible is happening before our very eyes! It prepares us for events that will be coming upon this world during the next few years. No Christian can afford to be without an intimate knowledge of the Book of Revelation in this hour. If there is any life in a person at all, he will come alive, shout, and even become a soul winner at the conclusion of this course. This is a must for everyone.

Page 20: The Word of God International University

- 20 -

Born for The Glory

This course is a very special course answering many questions that have been left unanswered through the ages. God has predestined a people to be conformed into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. But just what does that really mean? Who are the Hundred-fold, the Bride of Christ, the Remnant, or the Elect? What does it mean to walk through justification, sanctification, and glorification? What are the former and latter rains? How do they apply to us today?

Motivational Gifts God has not made us all the same. He planned for as to have differences, unique capabilities, and variations in the Body. God has placed each one of us in His family with certain combinations of “motivational gifts” that make each of us unique. Concerned about our unique gifts, He gave us clear instruction about them in His final will and testament. This class explores all these gifts, which help each student to realize their gifts that benefit the whole Body and bring incredible balance, unity, and health to those who discover them.

Present Day Truth

Throughout history, God has progressively revealed Truth to mankind. Through each generation, He is at work in the lives of men and women, often with an emphasis that differs from previous generations. Present Day Truth is a class that spans church history from its inception to our current day, illuminating the exciting things that God is doing in the church and church world.

Page 21: The Word of God International University

- 21 -

The Apostle's Doctrine

Through this study, we will come into an in-depth study of the ordinances of the Christian Faith. This includes detailed charts and teachings of all the various foundations of the faith. What does each one mean, and what is the basis for each one? As ministers of the Word of God, this is a very important course to learn and apply these Truths to our own lives in order to teach them to others.

Spiritual Warfare

God gave His church — His body— the Great Commission to fulfill. In the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, casting out demons is in the center of what God is doing today. Yet, Christians still do not understand demonic activity. They are unsure of themselves and don't know how to respond. This need not be. This course gives an in-depth revelation of the nature and activity of Satan and demons. The student will learn how to master without trepidation, many real-life situations involving demonic activity. This is a course no Christian can afford to miss.

The Man Child

This course places you on a journey from before the foundations of the world through the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. As one studies the Man Child, His origin and succeeding representatives, he is taken through the historical ancestry and subsequent genealogy of God’s Son, Jesus Christ. This study complements the course on the Apostle's Doctrine as it gives further insights into the foundational teaching of God's Word, creating a better understanding of true Christian goals and values.

Page 22: The Word of God International University

- 22 -

Systematic Theology

The Holy Spirit has led God's people to think through and arrange systematically the Truths they find in His Word. Systematic Theology is one of the most interesting classes in the entire university. It traces each major doctrine and clarifies its scope and meaning, affording a deeper grasp of primary teachings of the Bible. A few of the subjects covered are: The Bible, God, the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Angels, Salvation, Church Structure, Prophetic Events, the Doctrine of Sin, and the Doctrine of Man.

Old Testament Survey

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever." (Hebrews 13:8) The same Lord of the New Testament wrote the Old Testament. It is all His Word. To fully understand the New Testament, it is necessary to have a good understanding of the Old Testament. God's plan of creation and redemption, which began even before the foundation of the world, is fully disclosed in this course. Jesus Christ is not limited to just the New Testament as many erroneously believe, but He is interwoven as Supreme through every book of the Old Testament.

New Testament Survey

We live in the age of the New Testament. Through this New Covenant Word, God reveals the mysteries, which the Old Testament prophets longed to see. However, this was not possible for them, because Christ had not yet come into the world. This course covers this portion of God's Word. It bridges the Old Testament records with the New Testament, and chronicles God's plans for the future as it sums up all things in Christ. It also surveys special features of the age in which we live, making the Word of God "live" for ones study.

The Book of Daniel

The life and times of Daniel is the most significant apocalyptic tie between the Old Testament and the New Testament. This class prophetically describes current and future world conflicts, but God’s control over all events is clearly demonstrated in the unfolding of revelations through the Book of Daniel. The Book of Revelation cannot be properly interpreted without a good knowledge of this book, which reveals the end time message of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Evangelism

When Jesus returned to the Father, He left His church to continue His work in the world. His last words to His church were to take His message to the entire world. Still, Jesus is reaching out to minister to a lost and dying world. Now, He is working through His Body, the church. There is more to Christian life and ministry than Evangelism, yet without it there would be no life or ministry! Evangelism is sharing the Good News, giving freely to others what God has imparted. He who takes in, never giving out, will not spiritually grow. However, he who is actively seeking to win the lost will have newness of life, joy, and exhilaration emanating from within.

God’s End Time Army

God’s end time army is best described in the Book of Joel, and gives a clearer understanding of God’s plan for all in the last days. God’s raising up an army that will be an impeccable foe. Revelation comes to those that faithfully walk with God a long time. “He that hath an ear, let him hear.” This study will prepare and enable the faithful student to fall in rank with the glory of God in these last days.

Tabernacle Series

Part 1: Moses’ Tabernacle - 2 Units God is a consistent God. God is an eternal God who thinks in terms of all of history, not just the immediate generation. From eternity past, He planned the work of Jesus Christ for our salvation. He arranged a coherent, progressive, unfolding drama of redemption through the expanse of time. Moses Tabernacle was an important part of this illustrated revelation of His plan and work on man's behalf. It shows both realities in Heaven and on earth as it foretold the coming of Messiah and His perfect work for man's salvation. Every part of the Tabernacle reveals an important Truth for mankind. This is consistent with all other information God has conveyed to man through the ages. This is a fascinating course encompassing all aspects of the Tabernacle and its relationship to Jesus.

Part 2: David’s Tabernacle - 2 Units One of the richest and greatest avenues of approach to Divine order of worship, whether for the Old Testament or New Testament Saints, is to be found in this study of David’s Tabernacle. Though often neglected, this study reveals one more of the separate and distinct revelations. It clearly sets forth one more fragment of Truth as a facet or a part to be related to the whole vast reservoir of God’s magnificent Truths.

Part 3: Solomon’s Temple - 2 Units The Temple, which Solomon built, was the first large single structure undertaken by any Israelite ruler. It was the great economic and cultural development of the Hebrews during the reigns of David and Solomon that led to the desire to build it. The temple was noted for its lavish beauty and detail more than for its great size. Seven years were required to complete the temple. This study is centered around the pattern of the temple given to Solomon by his father, David, and continues as you learn of the significance of its various prominent features. You also come to know the architectural details that made it such an impressive structure.

UPPER DIVISION COURSES

The General Epistles

This course is an in-depth study of the Epistles of James; 1st and 2nd Peter; 1st, 2nd and 3rd John; and Jude. Each of these epistles is full of wisdom and practical insight for daily living, giving hope and direction to a troubled world. The student will learn both the structure and content of the books as well as principles applicable to today's way of life.

The Book of Acts

The Gospel of Luke shows what Christ began to do on earth. Acts shows what He continues to do by and through the Holy Spirit. This book is a record of the acts of the Holy Spirit through the apostles. “Ye shall be My witnesses” is the heart of the Book of Acts. Are you witnessing for Christ? If not, why not? It’s God’s plan to use His sons and daughters to testify of Him. Depending on God’s power through the Holy Spirit, the disciples were simple, straightforward and successful. They moved with zeal that could not be quenched.

Major and Minor Prophets

This course covers the books of the Old Testament prophets from Isaiah to Malachi. The Major Prophets — so named because of their length — are Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel. The Minor Prophets are Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. They speak mightily of God and the coming Messiah. Many people are ignorant of these teachings, not understand the historical context behind them. A chronological setting of the history of Israel is established, correlating with the kings and events of their time periods.

Pastoral Leadership

There is a vast need for pastors and leaders among God's people. There are too many without adequate training who attempt to shepherd a flock. Lacking an understanding of the principles of management, church growth, and visionary leadership, pastors or leaders are unable to cope with issues confronting them. This course is exciting because the student learns how to successfully and scripturally lead God's people.

Priestly Garments

Why a specific garment for the priest? What was God's purpose in specifying such detailed and elaborate dress? What is the value in the clothes worn by the servants of God? This course continues from Part One of the Tabernacle series. The student is introduced to another aspect of God, as he learns how the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ is portrayed so minutely. As the Lord prescribed these garments to be made in such detail and beauty, one can observe the glory of His perfection and radiance in another dimension.

I and II Corinthians Sin abounded in the cosmopolitan city of Corinth, the chief city of Greece. At one time it was the city of at least twelve heathen temples. The Corinthians were intrigued by Greek philosophy, and captivated by the disciplined training and athletic events at the Isthmus. How desperately they needed to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, the One crucified for sinners. The apostle Paul, establishing the church at Corinth, later went to Ephesus where he wrote these letters to the Corinthian believers who were miserable, longing for his help and correction. Note the parallel of the problems they faced with the problems that are so prevalent among our own modern culture today.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

In every respect, we see the Holy Spirit as One who operates in the church as a divine personality, assuring that the continued ministry of the resurrected Christ is expressed and verified. The Holy Spirit has all the characteristics of a person, yet possesses the divine attributes of the Godhead. When we observe the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we find varying theological viewpoints concerning the function of the gifts. With the acceptance and understanding of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, a common bond of unity in prayer and worship is a must for the Spirit-filled believer.

The Book of John The Gospel of John is often considered the most important, profound, and universal of the four Gospels. It usually is recommended as first priority reading to the new Christian. John wrote his Gospel to show "...that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that believing, ye might have life through His Name." (John 20:31) Therefore, mastering the basic content of this Gospel is an important part of a true Bible university education. The student learns both the overall picture of Christ as portrayed in the Gospel, as well as the specific significance of the narratives and teachings.

The Kings of Israel and Judah

This is a chronological study of the Hebrew kings over the Israelite people. It begins with Saul and ends with Zedekiah. The study reveals God's relationship with His people in their disobedience, as well as their obedience. The ascension of each king is related to the rein of the king in the other kingdom, which simultaneously affected both kingdoms. As one observes God’s love for all people, as well as His tolerance and hatred of evil, how does He respond?

The Book of Romans

Here is the key that unlocks the door, opening your understanding. This is one of the most significant books of the Bible, covering the basic doctrines of salvation and the Christian life in a superb manner. As it is the gospel in a nutshell, it encompasses the power of God to reveal His righteousness and His humanity; stresses the need of salvation by faith, emphasizing life's purpose; and also discusses unbelief and its consequences. To rescue the lost, one must know the Truth. This course consists of a systematic study of the major doctrines and teachings of Christ, establishing the Truth so that every student will benefit from it.

The Book of Hebrews

Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) The Book of Hebrews details beautifully God's priestly work under the Old and New Covenants. It carefully describes the changes that took place when Jesus completed His work on the cross, conveying strong Christian life applications in light of its Truth. The entire content of the book, in both doctrinal and practical formats will be covered.

The Book of Ephesians

Perhaps more than any other book of the Bible, the Book of Ephesians emphasizes the connection between sound doctrine and right practice in the Christian life. Far too many people ignore "theology" and instead want to only discuss things that are "practical." In Ephesians, Paul argues that theology is practical. In order to live out God's will for us in our lives practically, we must first understand who we are in Christ doctrinally.

GRADUATE PROGRAM COURSES

Apologetics

Science is a Christian phenomenon. It arose originally from those who knew their God and Creator well enough to realize it was possible to find order in God's creation. No pagan culture in history began this modern scientific endeavor; it is a direct result of Christianity. Yet, science has often been used against creation reality. Although scientific theory often disagrees with the Bible, true science never does! This course surveys the relationship of science and the Bible, along with historical facts attesting to how history and science work together proving God's Word at every juncture. This victorious, evangelistic, motivating course loudly echoes the chorus, "Oh, what a great and mighty God we serve!"

Biblical Counseling It isn’t easy to counsel in a disciplined and skilled way when problems are so diverse in today’s culture. This is an introduction to the various Christian approaches of counseling, as a training tool for pastors or lay people within the ministry. The course provides a greater understanding of human behavior, as well as a clearer perspective on the biblical basis of counseling, and a great awareness of people-helping skills.

Page 30: The Word of God International University

Homiletics Often as God's people, we find ourselves with a clear understanding of the things of God; yet, with a feeling of inadequacy to effectively teach or preach to others. Homiletics is the Christian's "public speaking" class. Through this course, he learns to communicate to groups more accurately as he teaches and preaches God's Truths. The student learns how to research and organize a message, and how to deliver it. Opportunity is made available to practice in front of the instructor and classmates. Constructive comments increase his communications immensely.

World Missions The last words of our Lord Jesus Christ to His church were to take His message to the entire world. Through the centuries, thousands of Christians have burned with zeal to spread the gospel to every part of the globe. Frequently, they gave their lives in their mission. Now, at this time, the Gospel is reaching far more people than at any other time in history fulfilling the words of Christ in Matthew 24:14. Through this course, the student gains additional understanding of the dedicated endeavors of the missionaries. Students will observe the amazing strategy and thrust of missions, enabling them to become a part of the work God is doing in this critical hour.

New Testament Research

If you want to satisfy your hunger and thirst to know God’s Word in a deeper way, you must do more than merely read the Scriptures and study what someone else has said about it. Here is an introduction to the inductive method of study—where you see Truth for yourself, what it means, and how to apply the Truth to your life. This course is designed to train the student in the inductive method of studying the Word of God, enabling him to do in-depth research and study into the New Testament. Writing your thesis and preparing for your masters degree requires scholarship to ensure substantiated documentation of ideas and concepts explored in research necessary for validating your work and publishing your textbook and workbook. To fulfill the requirements for your degree, it is necessary for you to understand APA format, avoid plagiarism, and encourage excellent usage of critical analytical skills for literature review, interpretation, as well as academic integration and exchange in higher education.

Old Testament Research

The Bible is unlike any other book. It is supernatural. It is complete in itself; therefore, it needs no other books to supplement it. With the inductive study method used in this in-depth research of the Old Testament, the Bible becomes its own commentary and can be understood by every believer. See how the dramas of the Old Testament unfold through this inductive study and research.

Hermeneutics

In looking at the art and science of Biblical interpretation, there most be a set of rules for interpreting the written “Word of God.” The fact that we need rules is not debatable, since we've all seen what happens when someone's comments are taken out of “context.” The question is over what rules to apply to the Bible, and how to apply them in specific cases. These questions are explored.

Seminary

As a graduate learner, it is important to understand the practical application of service leadership principles. Scholarship, practice, and leadership skills are necessary to meet the needs of those who are disadvantaged in some way or another. We will look at how to prepare for ordination as clergy or any other form of ministry.

Directed Research Studies

Writing your dissertation and preparing for your doctoral degree requires scholarship to ensure substantiated documentation of ideas and concepts explored in research necessary for validating your work and publishing your book. To fulfill the requirements for your degree, it is necessary for you to understand APA format, avoid plagiarism, and encourage excellent usage of critical analytical skills for literature review, interpretation, as well as academic integration and exchange in higher education.

ACADEMIC POLICY

Transferring Credits

The goal of The Word of God International University is to train men and women of God, who love Him with all their heart and have become knowledgeable and competent in the Bible and Theology. Requests to transfer credit from another university are carefully evaluated before acceptance. The following standards apply as a minimum:

The student must furnish an official, sealed transcript from the previous university(s).

The university(s) must be accredited or approved in the United States. If not, the Academic Director must make an objective analysis of the quality of the institution based upon its catalog, the information listing of the university(s), contact with the university(s) or others who are familiar with it. A perusal of the student's course syllabi and class notes may be considered.

Courses that are direct equivalent of courses at WGIU will transfer. Courses that are similar may transfer with partial credit. Courses that are different, but would definitely contribute toward the specific degree sought, may transfer at partial or full credit.

No degree will be issued to a student who has completed less that one year (96 units) in residence at WGIU.

In every case, the decision of the Academic Director will be final.

Auditing

When a student does not wish to log credit for a course, this is referred to as auditing a course. No homework, tests or attendance requirements are involved. The cost is one-fourth the normal fee. The auditor simply sits in the class and listens.

Page 35: The Word of God International University

- 35 -

For Credit Audit

Since auditors are not taking the course for credit, normally they do not receive a grade. However, some audit students would like to retain the option of receiving credit at a later date. Those students who may wish to convert audit courses to units of credit later must do the following: Inform the instructor Fulfill all normal attendance, homework and test requirements Request the instructor to issue a grade in his grade book at

the end of the quarter When the student is ready to convert to credit, he must contact the Registrar to request the change. At that time, the student or auditor must pay the remaining ¾ (three-fourth) of the fees. The Registrar will then enter his grade and units of credit on his official transcript.

No Credit Audit

Some auditors prefer not to take courses for credit. And for this reason, they will not receive a grade, nor credit towards a degree. Paying an audit fee per course and book fee, students can take courses for no credit, and may attend any course offered by WGIU. The no credit audit fees paid may be deducted from tuition once enrolled in a degree program, but courses must be repeated for credit.

Adding, Changing, or Dropping Classes

A student may add, change, or drop courses during the first two weeks of the quarter if he will first contact the Registrar and complete the required form.

If there’s a desire to drop a course, the student must notify the Registrar in writing. Then, there will be a credit on their bill according to the standard WGIU refund schedule. The report card and transcript will be documented with a "w" (withdrew) for the course.

Attendance

Class Attendance

Attendance is required whether or not a student can pass exams without coming to class. God's goal for us is to sit under men and women of God. We are to learn together in unity, harmonizing with the “spirit” of instruction, gathering as much information as possible from personal involvement and others questions or remarks. God works His ministry through your life, others and the professor. The personal contact with a professor is as important as gathering one's notes--in fact, more so. Maintaining the unity of the Body with other students in the class is essential to growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. When students miss class often or come in late, the unity is broken. Absences and tardies are recorded.

TARDY: Arriving in class after class has started. Three (3) tardies are recorded as one (1) unexcused absence.

Note: Students arriving more than 15 minutes after start of class are counted as tardy.

UNEXCUSED ABSENCES: Three (3) per class per quarter, maximum.

Note: Students arriving more than 30 minutes after start of class are counted as absent.

EXCUSED ABSENCES: Three (3) per class per quarter, maximum.

TOTAL ABSENCES: Three (3) per class, each quarter, excused or not, maximum.

Definition: Excused absences are allowed for sickness, death in the family, or other pressing business. They are not allowed for vacations, helping someone move, working overtime for extra money or other "good" reasons. (Prov.21:2)

Page 37: The Word of God International University

- 37 -

Total Absences: The sum total of excused or unexcused absences, including absences recorded due to having three (3) or more tardies. For example, if a student has one (1) unexcused absence, then the student only qualifies for two (2) excused absences, not three (3). Or, if there are three (3) tardies and one unexcused absence, then one (1) excused absence is allowed. The total cannot exceed three (3) in any case. Any unresolved situation will be referred to the Academic Director, and the Academic Director's decision will be final.

Should a student exceed the limit of allowable absences, the student may go to the Registrar and request a change in status from Credit to Audit for the course, continuing to take the class. Or, the student may request to officially withdraw from the course in order to avoid an "F." If there’s no effort to do one of the above, the student will automatically receive a "F" for the course.

When a student finds himself getting close to the limit, a meeting should be arranged with the Registrar or Academic Director before its too late. Academic reviews are required in order to continue in school.

General Assembly and Chapel

General Assembly is a very significant part of the Bible university experience. It is class time outside the course, joining together and rejoicing in the Lord. We worship God with singing and praises given to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Fellowshipping together, we pray for one another and edify each other in unity as The Body of Christ.

It is also a time when we invite outside speakers to be our guests and share something special to enlighten our hearts. Even students have a chance to preach, give testimonials, lead in worship, and/or lecture.

General Assembly is held nightly and on Saturdays before each class session. Everyone attending the university is required to attend at the scheduled time of your class sessions in order to get credit for class attendance and chapel. It is strongly recommended that you should not talk; use cell phones and computers; or leave the room for credit.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND POLICY

Theology is the primary focus at The Word of God International University, with special emphasis in the following schools of Theology: apostolic administration, Biblical counseling, evangelism, pastoral ministry, and education. (Ephesians 4:11-16) The Holy Spirit distributes the spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:11), placing each member of The Body of Christ according to his God-given function (1 Corinthians 12:1-31). Core courses are required of all students.

Students at The Word of God International University will select their elective courses from The Word of God Holistic Wellness Institute that will benefit them most in developing their individual Christ-given call. Elective courses are offered each quarter and can be taken as weekday, weekend classes, or seminars, announced in advance. Elective courses may be taken for credit, audited for credit or without credit, and are necessary for a degree, educational ordination, credentialing, certification, and licensing. Four hundred and eighty (480) ministerial internship hours, along with The Teaching/Learning Process, 30 (three hour) classes for 12 credit units are required for certification in your area of expertise. Additional requirements may also apply.

Academic Schools School of Apostolic Administration and Management for faith-based business development, securing religious nonprofit ministry and soul winning, university satellite campuses within local churches. School of Prophetic and Theo-centric Counseling to prepare Biblical counselors, providing life empowerment training, supporting the needy, and encouraging restoration of the “Body of Christ”. School of Evangelism for establishing effectual witnesses and soul winners, reaching the lost for Christ. School of Ministry and Seminary for assisting the needy and the maturation of the local church as an agency of God’s love. School of Theo-centric Education for the training preparation of teachers, encouraging information literacy through instructing children, families, and the community at large for The Glory of God.

Page 39: The Word of God International University

Each school or department program is for the training, certification to work, and licensing to train ordained ministers to advance the Gospel of the Kingdom, duplicating and replicating the ministry of Christ:

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

We also have other department programs for academic achievement:

School of Theo-centric Natural Health for the ministries of health, holistic wellness, and Biblical naturopathy. School of The Arts and Conservatory for the encouragement of unique creative gifts and talents in the “Body of Christ”.

The entire program at The Word of God International University is designed to minister to and develop students personally, helping them to become all God created them to be. With this in mind, personal attention and ministry from the faculty to each student is an added advantage to each and every one enrolled. We encourage academic, practical, and spiritual involvement under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Page 40: The Word of God International University

Additional programs and departments are being developed for academic instruction with graduate chairs meeting postgraduate requirements: School of Theo-centric Cinema Production and Journalism for film, television, book, newspaper, magazine, and commercial publishing. School of Theo-centric Computer Science and Technology for computer science, digital entertainment, systems engineering, and information technology. School of Theo-centric Jurisprudence and Law for domestic, business, and international affairs: dispute resolution and public policy. School of Theo-centric Agriculture and Ecology for animal husbandry, farm and livestock management, soil systems technology, and environmental studies. School of Theo-centric Translational Science, Engineering, and Industry for inventions, trades, manufacturing, innovative research, and applied science.

Credentialing Programs Our internship credentialing program is established for certifying to work and licensing to train and/or teach interns. As Christ Jesus taught the disciples, interns are called as ministers to Theo-centric progressive experiential competency in Biblical servant or service leadership and Holy Spirit led holistic (spiritual, physical, and mental) life empowerment, wellness, and health. Holistic education requires more than academic instruction, but practical experience; certified and licensed under God through forming a religious trust. All graduates must meet professional, credential, government, and business requirements, affording ministerial diplomatic, economic, religious, and political immunity and asylum. Certified in the ministry of your calling and “making your calling and election sure” (2 Peter 1:10), Ph.D. graduates are automatically licensed to independently train students once certified and have successfully trained, ordained, and advanced twelve students through certification.

Page 41: The Word of God International University

- 41 -

The following are a list of credential programs included for meeting certification and licensing requirements, but not limited to:

Grading System

Grades for each course are approved every quarter. Report cards are issued to the students after academic reviews are completed and signed by the chancellor, dean, and registrar. Copies are retained in the permanent file. Grades are also recorded on:

The student's permanent transcript The course attendance The grade record for the quarter The permanent university records

This includes all grades issued for all classes. California law requires the university to maintain records for five years; however, the university keeps transcript records permanently.

Grades are issued based on the following percentages:

90% - 100% = Excellent (A) INC = Incomplete 80% - 89% = Good (B) W = Withdraw 70% - 79% = Average (C) CRT = Credit (Pass) 60% - 69% = Poor (D) NC = No Credit 0% - 59% = Not Passing (F) NP = No Credit (Not Passing)

Academic Recognition

The Dean's List: Students who completed at least 12 units of credit in a quarter, with no grade lower than an "A" or "Credit" will be honored by having their name published on the Dean's List or Honor Role for that quarter.

Honors at Graduation In Each Graduating Class

The Bachelor of Theology candidate with the highest grade-point average (3.7 minimum) will be honored as Valedictorian of that class.

The Bachelor of Theology candidate with the second highest grade point average (3.5 minimum) will be honored as Salutatory of the class.

Page 43: The Word of God International University

- 43 -

Grade Point System - Grade points are earned for course grades issued each quarter, as follows:

A = 4 Points B = 3 Points C = 2 Points D = 1 Point

The points are added together to determine the student's G.P.A. or "grade-point average." Only the whole grade is considered, just as on the student's permanent transcript; pluses and minuses are not counted, except in the case of a tie. For example, a B, B+ or B- are all considered a "B"--When a course is taken on a Credit/No Credit basis, it does not affect the student's grade-point average.

The Unit of Credit

All units of credit given by The Word of God International University must actually be earned. Units become credits upon satisfactorily completing a course. This is accomplished by enrolling, attending classes (see Attendance section), completing all required work, taking/passing examinations, clearing Academic Reviews, and receiving grades for the courses. In rare cases, such as Bible Reading and some Electives, a course is primarily based on directed activity. However, an instructor remains in charge, attendance is required, and grades are issued.

Under most circumstances, one and one-half (1½) units of credit are given for each course per quarter regardless of schedule or homework requirements. Two (2) credit units are given for trimester courses given on Saturdays. As feasible, the homework is standardized, although some differences may be inevitable due to the nature of the material.

Page 44: The Word of God International University

- 44 -

Examinations

Examinations are kept to a minimum so that the student is not subjected to undue academic pressure. However, because examinations are a necessary part of the learning process, they must be administered consistent with the Word of God. If a student fails to pass an examination, that test can be taken again within one week of notification. The results of the second test are final.

Since God does not test us more than we can bear, instructors at WGIU avoid scheduling any more exams than necessary during any one week. God tests us for our good to assure growth into the image of Christ; therefore, WGIU exams are given to reinforce retention. This is accomplished by:

Student's increased attentiveness to subject matter Achieving good concentration and study habits Systematic reviews of study materials Constructive criticism through returned tests

University policy dictates that graded tests must be graded and returned to the academic director before the subsequent class following the examination. This specifically applies to final exams. They must be taken, graded, returned, or forwarded to the university office within one month after the conclusion of the quarter for credit.

Missed Examinations and Homework

If a student misses an examination, he is required to take the exam the next time he reports to class. Unless his absence was excused (see Attendance section) his grade will be reduced one grade level for each week he is delayed in taking the test. The same thing applies to the student who fails to submit his homework as scheduled. It is the student's responsibility to contact the instructor to arrange to make-up his examination or turn in his homework.

The reason for these policies is to assist the student in avoiding any kind of discouragement. However, if you find yourself experiencing any discouragement at all, please contact your Instructor, the Registrar or the Dean who will support you and provide assistance.

Incompletes

If a student is unable to complete the course assignments prior to the quarter-end due to illness or other valid reasons, he may request a grade of "incomplete" from his instructor for that quarter. This will allow the student an additional 30 days maximum, counting from the last day of the quarter, to submit the required assignment. If, however, the student is still unable to complete the assignment within the allotted time period, his grade must be based upon his completed work with the missing grades recorded as "F's" and averaged in with the balance of his grades.

Instructors are required to forward all grades and attendance records to the registrar’s office within one week of the conclusion of the quarter. The office disperses the report cards to the students after the completion of an approved an signed Academic Review.

No grades may be changed any later than thirty days following the conclusion of the quarter. If you have a question or disagreement, concerning your grade, you should talk with your instructor.

Repeating a Course

When a student has completed a course previously, but received a grade that he wants to improve, he may request permission to re-take that course. The higher grade of the two courses will be applied to his permanent record, or official transcript. However, only the units of credit for the one course will be applicable.

Page 46: The Word of God International University

- 46 -

Academic Probation

A student who acquires three or more units with the grade "F" and/or fails to complete an Academic Review will receive a letter of non-compliance and may be placed on Academic Probation or suspension. Probation or suspension is revoked only after the completion of an approved and signed Academic Review. Probation gives the student an opportunity to improve during the next quarter. The concerns and prayers of the Faculty and Administration will continue to support the student during this time. If there is no improvement, a meeting with the Academic Director must be scheduled. If circumstances cannot be improved, dismissal from the university may be necessary. In this case, re-admittance of the student is with the approval of the Academic Director.

Graduation Policy

Degrees will be awarded only to those who attend the graduation ceremony. Degrees cannot be issued to non-participants, except in cases of extreme illness or death in the family. The major purpose of The Word of God International University is to build men and women in Christ. The awarding of degrees evolves as secondary.

A student is not automatically assured of a degree unless all academic requirements are met. If all the criteria involved are not met in living the Christ-like life in conformance to the standards established by WGIU, the diploma could be withheld. When a student has received repeated warnings, along with special attention and assistance, and still is not in compliance with the established practices of the university, the decision of the Academic Director is final.

STUDENT LIFE

Student Responsibility

The university exists to serve each student, developing and enriching their lives. We desire to do everything possible to successfully assist each student to thrive in the university and all life endeavors.

One of the most important qualities that a person can have in life is initiative; being decisive in determining what needs must be first met, how to take care of them, and then bring them to a successful culmination. This is a quality that seems to be lacking in many people. At The Word of God International University, we desire to assist and encourage every student to develop inner character and to locate what they need within the world through the loving eyes of Christ. There is a need to initiate and complete important projects for Him. As part of this thrust, each student is ultimately responsible for their own work at the university. Although we will do all we can to assist, each student must exert effort to succeed in beginning and completing their education, which entails reviewing this catalog, attending scheduled classes, completing homework assignments, taking exams, paying tuition, and scheduling weekly reviews. Students must do whatever is necessary to fulfill all requirements.

2 Corinthians 8:6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

CHRISTIAN LIFE

Learning the Bible

This is a Bible university. We have all come here to learn the Bible. God wants us to read through His Word over and over; letting it wash and cleanse us, transforming us into the image of His own dear Son.

Psalms 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

It is God's Word that transforms us; not human logic, teaching, our own efforts, or even us. God has brought each of you to this university to sit under anointed teaching that you may be taught by the Holy Spirit through your teachers. Unless you are personally spending significant amounts of time in His Word, letting Him minister to you individually, much of the teaching will be lost and less transformation will take place in your lives. There's not a more basic way to get to know the Bible than to read and know it for yourself.

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Page 53: The Word of God International University

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

At The Word of God International University, it is an inspirational adventure to learn the Bible firsthand. You will have regular homework assignments, developing the practice of reading a portion of the Word of God every day. Our Daily Bread will be provided to help you read, as you go once through the Old Testament and twice through the New Testament each school year. This is actually only six to seven pages in a typical Bible a day. Yet, it increases up to an additional four times through the entire Bible--plus another four times through the New Testament in just four years. This will prove to be life changing, and why you were led of the Holy Spirit to this Bible University to obtain this discipline, along with other disciplines!

Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

PROVERBS:

THE BOOK ON CHRIST-LIKE CHARACTER

All around the world today, Christians are following a plan, which is helping them conform to the image of God's dear Son, Jesus Christ. (Rom. 8:29) This plan is based upon the fact that there are thirty-one chapters in the Book of Proverbs. This is the same number of chapters as the number of days in the majority of the months of the year. So each day of the month, you should read the chapter of Proverbs that corresponds with that day. For example, on the 20th of September, read Proverbs, Chapter 20; on the 25th of September, read Chapter 25; and on the 7th of May, read Chapter 7, etc.

Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Proverbs. 2:6, 10, 11,20 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding... When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; ...Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee... That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Building our Prayer Life

God loves us and wants our fellowship in prayer, both for His own enjoyment and honor and also for our own benefit. This is so we might be refreshed, strengthened, and guided in our daily lives. Yet, too often, we find it difficult to set aside enough time each day to really know God in a deep intimate way.

Mark 14:37b-38 Jesus said...couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray.

Revelation 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints.

We all fall into the trap of being so busy working for God. We neglect having time for God, Himself. God wants our hearts and our time with Him even more than what we can "produce" for Him. It’s like a typical marriage. A man marries a woman because he loves her and wants her to be with him. Yet, after they've been married awhile, many a wife is so busy with the children, the cleaning, cooking, washing, etc., she no longer has time to devote to her husband. Jesus is the Bridegroom. And, we are His bride. His greatest desire is that we are available for Him, seated at His feet in loving adoration.

Luke 10:38-42 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Bid her therefore that she

Page 56: The Word of God International University

- 56 -

help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Every one of us wants to sit at the Lord's feet like Mary… Yet, we repeatedly get our priorities mixed up and do everything else, like Martha! In this university, we have developed a plan to help you get started. Every day each one is to spend at least ten minutes alone with the Lord in prayer and also review the Bible reading assignment before classes. Since it is a daily assignment, it will help you to seek the face of the LORD and overcome the works of the flesh, spending quality time with the LORD. As for prayer time, it is up to each individual. You can either seek the LORD in a dry legalistic way, merely to fulfill an assignment, or seek to please and honor the Lord. You make the choice! Although at first, it may seem unappealing. The fact that it is a requirement helps you develop the right habits. Nevertheless, the rich blessings will follow as you consistently work at it. You'll be grateful you didn't give up.

Psalms 63:1-7

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

Hebrews 11:6

...for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

SOCIAL LIFE

Acts 2:42, 45-47

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.... And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Fellowship is an important part of the Christian life. God loves His family to gather together, especially in these last days. Therefore, you will find a rich love and warmth among the students at The Word of God International University--a real caring and concern for one another. There are a limited number of specific social events during the year. However, most social life takes place right in the fellowship of the body of Christ as well as the local churches represented: “Till we all come together in the unity of faith… “Discover The Way of LOVE!”

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Join in. Seek to minister to other's need for love and fellowship. You'll find your own social needs met abundantly. To find JOY, approach life in this order: Jesus… Others… You…

DISCIPLINE

The Word of God International University produces men and women of God, who love Him with all their heart, soul, mind and might; and that show Christ to the world.

2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the heart.

Therefore, it is important that students keep themselves in conduct that is pure, holy, and loving to fulfill their higher purpose, in which God has called us beyond mere educational requirements.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Each student is expected to abstain from drugs, alcohol, gossip, tobacco, immoral material and activities, or anything offensive to God.

1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Romans 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

Page 59: The Word of God International University

The law of love is our guideline; and Holy Spirit, our Guide. While it is not possible to define spirituality by rules, it is possible for a school to have basic principles of honesty, morality, and love. If a student insists on continuing in unacceptable practices, suspension from the university is inevitable. The Dean or President will counsel anyone who insists on living a life that is not Christ-like. Reinstatement can only be granted when evidence of repentance and the willingness to rectify any offenses is clear. With this consideration, the Faculty and Administration will make their determination of reinstatement.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Bible is accepted in its entirety as the complete Word of God, wholly inspired, absolutely infallible, and our only source of spiritual Light and Truth. It conveys to us the only true revelation of the Godhead, our only knowledge of Salvation, and the true origin of all things and of the hereafter. It is the final Court of Appeals on all points of doctrine as touching life and godliness. Cf: 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21; Hebrews 4:12-13

We believe in the personality and absolute deity of the Godhead, comprised of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; eternal in existence; and equal in glory, majesty and power. We believe God to be the Creator of all things and the Author of eternal redemption. We believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as man's only and all sufficient Savior. We believe Jesus is the very Son of God, the Creator of all things with the Father, and appointed as Judge of all men. Cf. Colossians 1:12-19; Acts 17:31

We emphatically embrace the Bible account of Christ's virgin birth, His vicarious death in behalf of lost humanity, His appointed burial, His bodily resurrection, His ascension on high, His high-priestly work in the heavenlies, and His imminent return to rapture the righteous, living, and dead to execute judgment upon the wicked, establish His everlasting Kingdom among men, and to finally surrender all things back to the Father again, that God may be all in all. We acknowledge the Holy Spirit as the Comforter, the Divine Agency of Regeneration, the Administrator of the great program of redemption, the Revealer of Christ especially in relation to His work on the cross, and the Distributor of Gifts and Graces bestowed upon the church.

We believe in the ordinances established by Jesus Christ, observed and administered by the church; namely: Water Baptism, a visible representation of our death, burial and resurrection with Christ as well as the Lord's Supper, a means of fellowship, partaking of the benefits bequeathed to believers through the reverent observance of this perpetual ordinance.

Page 61: The Word of God International University

- 61 -

We believe in the message of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, subsequent to the new birth with the Bible evidences and the results of the Spirit-filled life; namely endowment with power, revelation, power to witness, love and zeal; and in the accompanying gifts, graces, and fruit of the Spirit. Cf. Acts 1:8; 10:44-46; 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 12:5-11; Galatians 5:22-24; Romans 5:5 We believe that every born-again person in this dispensation is a member of the Body of Christ, which is His Church. Cf. Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:23; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13 We recognize the fact that those who are born again possess two natures, and the present and constant victory over the old nature is accomplished by and through the power of the new nature. Cf. Romans 6:1-13; 3:12-13; Galatians 3:16-25; Colossians 3:9-10; 1 Peter 1:14-16; 1 John 3:5-9 We believe that divine healing and miracles are a part of this "So Great a Salvation." Through the gifts of healing, the laying on of hands, the anointing with oil, or simple faith alone, physical healing, well being, and deliverance from pain and suffering are privileges of Christians throughout the Gospel Age. Cf. Mark 16:17-18; 1 Corinthians 12:9-10; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:13-16. We recognize the obligation of the saved to preach the Gospel to all the world; not only by the preached Word, but by life, example, and prevailing prayer. Cf. Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Romans 10:14-15; Acts 5:42; 2 Timothy 4:2; I Peter 4:6 We emphatically believe in the second, imminent, personal coming of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Cf. Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Titus 2:12-14; John 14:1-6; Revelation 1:7 We believe all Christians are called into a life of separation from all worldly, sinful practices, and should take every opportunity to further good government and righteousness on earth. Cf. Romans 13:1-102; Corinthians 6:13-18; James 4:4; Romans 12:1; 1 John 2:15-17

Alma Mater

Hail to thee, our Alma Mater, We shall ere remember thee.

Within thy walls we found our purpose; Preaching Christ of Calvary.

As we go to take the message, O’er the sea to every land,

His Spirit, love, and grace will guide us, Bringing Christ to every man.

When our days on earth are ended, Thoughts of thee shall still remain.

We shall gather in His City
