The Cupuaçu (koo-poo-ah-soo),a native fruit of the Amazon, is an essential active ingre-dient in the BSH Progressive line. It contains vitamins (retinol, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, ascorbic acid), carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and minerals. This makes it an excellent moisturizer, emollient, and conditioner.

TRANSFORMINGHAIR Hair´s capillary structure consists mainly of α-keratin, consisting of 18-25 amino-acid types interlaced by sulfur bridges, salt and hydrogen. These elements are responsible for the shape and the physical strength of hair.

The α-keratin is composed of two intertwined α-helices, forming a double-helix. This double-helix structure makes the α-keratin extremely resistent. Groups of α-keratin coils are joined together to form a filament (basically a strand of hair).

The surfaces of the helices, which are exposed, are composed of hydrophobic amino acids. The α-keratins also contain large amounts of cysteine, which helps form disulfide bridges.

Brazilian Keratin acts directly on these disulfide bridges, allowing the cysteine molecules to take a new, stronger and more resistant form.

FAQ – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS1. How do BSH products actually work? BSH allows for the transformation of cysteine bonds placed in the strands (, due to the balanced composition of the components. *Inter = Inside, internal + Conversion = transformation of one thing into another.

2. What is the active ingredient in the product?SAM (Molecular Adhesion System) occurring in the outer of the cortex, breaking some of the sulfur and salt bridges, due to its high ionicity (electrically charged ions). The acid pH + heat (brushing /iron flat) tractions the strand, temporarily realigning itself smoothing the hair.

3. How is BSH applied? BSH is for professional use only. There are two different application processes depending on the type of hair. In total, the treatment takes about 2 hours. BSH products act inv3 steps : 1) clean 2) realign 3) reconstructf.

4.When can I wash my hair after a BSH Keratin treatment? During the straightening process, a hair care professional will wash your hair, ensuring that all the product has been removed. After the treatment you are free to wash your hair as you wish. Howver, it is very important to use the Pro Keratin home care maintenance products at to maximi-ze the life span of your treatment.


5. How long does the treatment normally last? It depends on your hair type and your maintenance routine. If you correctly follow our maintenance regime, one treatment will last on average 2-3 months, significantly longer than our competitor´s.

6. How long should I wait to get a second treatment? BSH does not contain any aggressive chemical agents. Therefore, there is no minimum break time. You can seek further treatment at any time, without running the risk of damaging your hair. However, you should always conduct a patch test before application to verify the resistance of your hair. *Damaged hair must receive a previous treatment before reapplying the product.

7. How smooth can I expect my hair to get after multiple treatments? BSH is a progressive system, so hair becomes smoother with each application. *Hair type may influence the result.

8. Can BSH Keratin treatment be applied on children and pregnant women? Yes! The BSH Keratin treatment does not contain irritating vapors and does not have any harmful chemicals in its formula. We have verified that there is no substance present in its composition which is prohibited by the World Health Organization. *Pregnant women should consult their doctor before using any product or undertaking any new procedure during pregnancy, which includes all kind of cosmetic, medications, diet, exercise, etc.

9. BSH Keratin treatment can be applied to chemically treated hair? BSH is compatible with most chemicals treatments, such as coloring agents, thioglycolate, guanidine, lithium and sodium. *A patch test should always be performed before applying the product to evaluate its resistance.

10. Can I use chemical-based products after the BSH keratin treatment? Yes! We recommend you wait 15 days. This is the time necessary for the hair´s physiological pH to stabili-ze. *A patch test should always be applied to verify the resistance of the hair.

11. Does BSH contain ammonia or formaldehyde? How can I be sure? BSH is totally free of aggressive chemicals, formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde. We have commissioned tests done in various countries which have proved that BSH Keratin does not contain these agents in its compo-sition.

12. BSH produces smoke? The smoke may appear due to the drying process with the blow dryer and the iron flat. It is the vaporization of the product after receiving the heat of dryer.

13. Will a BSH Pro Keratin treatment cause my hair color to change? Most instances of hair changing color are caused by a hair care professional using a flat iron that is too hot. Your hair care professional must set the temperature of the flat iron correctly, based on your hair type: for damaged and dyed hair: up to 180 °C/ 356 F for others: up to 240 °C/ 464 F

14. Once I´ve completed my treatment, are any restrictions I should be aware of (such as no ente-ring a swimming pool, abstaining from chemical treatments, etc.)? Since BSH Pro Keratin is an all-natural treatment, we don´t place any restrictions on post-treatment activi-ties However, it is widely accepted that certain activities can cause excessive exposure to damaging external agents, potentially reducing the duration of your treatment and damaging your hair.
