she died in childbirth Theodore later remarried Edith Kermit Crow, and had five

Navy In 1898 he became governor of New York In 1900 Theodore was made governor of New York In 1900, Theodore was made Vice President to William
McKinley On February 4, 1901, McKinley was shot and killed, Theodore
was made the new President
