DESCRIPTION
ÂTRANSCRIPT
Coming out of homecoming week one might have thought that stu-
dents on campus would take a chance to relax. For the Brothers of Pi
Kappa Phi this was not the case. Pi Kapp took campus by storm in
this years annual no boundaries week. Each day, planned meticulous-
ly by Push Chair Kenny Day and Senior Member Patrick Sponsler, end-
ed in success. This year’s No Boundaries Week introduced a lot of
“firsts”. Our first Pi Kappa Phrie sale raised over $500 for Push Ameri-
ca with a line that stayed strong late in to the night. At our first Miss
Push Pageant, crowds were wowed by impressive performances that
truly highlighted the empathy and abilities that Push America is really
about. The week was closed with an accessibility day. In partnership
with the student government and Sara Spins, Pi kapp passed out over
900 t-shirts to students asking them to wear them and avoid taking
inaccessible routes for the day.

No Boundaries Week 2013 A Huge Success
Member Spotlight
Logan Nagel
ϴ#76
Logan joined the Theta Chapter in Spring of 2013 as the second member to sign in the Epsilon Class. As a leader of University Honors Retreats, Bearcast Radio Personality, PACE leader, and teacher at Breakthrough Cincinnati. it was immediately evident he would be a perfect fit for our fraternity of Lead-ers. Logan has shown him-self as not only a leader of his class but also as a lead-er of our fraternity as a whole. In his first week after initiation he wowed the chapter with a very impressive plan for rituals and brotherhood and was elected into the executive council as the Theta Chap-ters newest Chaplain. As one of two members in the Epsilon class to hold an EC position, great things are expected from him.
The Pi Alpha Hat Trick
Trivia Question: Aside from being
mentioned by Dr. Lori Hart as
having the best risk management
in the country, having both the
Push America volunteer of the
year, and the Alumni Volunteer of
the year, what does the University
of Cincinnati chapter have that no
other chapter of any fraternity in
the nation can boast? The answer
is having a perfect pi alpha streak.
Since the re-charting of the Theta
chapter at least one brother has
participated in Push America’s
hallmark summer events every
year. Pictured above are the chap-
ters three current Pi Alpha’s Ken-
ny Day, Michael McMahon, and
Zachary Wiles. Combined the
three have raised over $11,000
dollars for Push America. This
streak does not appear to be end-
ing any time soon as the chapter
has 4 brothers registered to partici-
pate in events this summer.
2821 W. Clifton Takes on New Form
While a house does not define a fraternity, it certainly can be used to send a message. This is espe-cially the case with a house as close to campus as ours is. The message that 2821 W. Clifton sent when we first moved in was not very welcoming with a gravel side yard, overcrowded parking, worn and bare walls, and tattered carpet. With a little TLC, and a lot of help from Parents and alumni, this is no longer the case. Thanks to Alumni Member Mike Stanton and Family our main areas have walls in col-ors that celebrate the traditions of our university and our fraternity. Other improvements include, the dedication of the pool room walls to recognizing Push America ac-complishments, dedicating the liv-ing room to the individual accom-plishments of our members, con-structing a new patio, and creating a fenced area to hide the garbage cans. While simple, these changes have played a major role in mak-ing our chapter more outwardly inviting.
