1 The land lease model does not charge exit fees. Traditional retirement villages could cost you tens of thousands on exit!

Ingenia Lifestyle do not charge exit fees and what’s more, the Ingenia Lifestyle land lease ownership model does not take a share in any capital gains; so any growth made on your home is 100% yours to keep.

Whereas, a resident who departs a retirement village can be faced with significant fees, sometimes in the tens of thousands of dollars. If the value of their retirement unit has not sufficiently grown in value (capital gain), the resident will find themselves owing money to the retirement village when they leave, through the Deferred Management Fee model, sometimes also referred to as an exit fee or DMF fee.
