A few months ago, the church ministerial staff came up with the idea to have a special Holy Week service on Maundy Thursday, the day that commemorates the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his friends. David and I began planning a service to be hosted in the freshly updated Fireside Room (thanks Jim Wilhoyte) where we would light candles, read scriptures, and share the Lord’s Supper together around the table. Unfortunately, COVID-19 had other plans, and hosting this special event is not possible. The Lord’s Supper is such a special event in the life of the church. As followers of Jesus, we remember His death with our church family when we eat the bread and drink of the cup. We also anticipate a meal to be shared

with one another and Jesus in the world to come. Sadly, we cannot safely gather to worship this way right now. However, our church family remains connected and strong. These last few weeks, we have been able to connect virtually through Facebook, and through the radio. The interaction and support have been fabulous. I am constantly reminded that the church is not a building, but people sharing a common mission. On Easter Sunday, April 12th, I am inviting you to worship with me in your home. As a part of that service, we are going to celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. So, grab some bread and a cup, and get ready to participate in communion like never before.

COVID-19 Update President Trump extended

social distancing guidelines through April. As a result, the church building is closed for all activities and events until those guidelines are lifted.

Worship will be on Sunday at 10:45 A.M. on Facebook Live and on the radio at 92.9 FM and 1420 AM.

Prayer Meeting will be live on Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. on Facebook Live.

Cornerstone Counseling remains open on a limited basis.

Staff and Deacons will not be visiting in hospitals or nursing homes. We are committed to providing pastoral care, so we will conduct our visits via telephone.

The church staff are still working, possibly harder than ever. If you need anything, please let us know.
