LWMLC /MARY MARTHA: Upcoming meetings for the next 3 months will feature a

combination of Bible Studies and servant/mission activities. Each meeting will start with a Bible Study on a woman of the Bible and the example she has left for us. The activities will be as follows: Tues. Mar.17 – making Easter cards for our shut-ins and some other seniors Tues. Ap. 21 – packing ‘We Care Kits’ for CLWR. A box will be placed in the Narthex for donations. Watch for a list of the items to donate, or help with the cost of each bag, which is $5.00 each. The bags are purchased from CLWR and become part of the gift to those receiving them. The $5.00 cost also helps defray ocean freight costs when they are sent overseas. All ladies welcome to join us for any or all meetings. AN EXTRA NOTE: Memorial / Joy Cards have been placed at the back of the church for your use, if you ever wish to send a donation to LWMLC either in memory or in honour of someone.

SEWING FOR HAITI: Next two sewing and cutting gatherings are Tuesday, March 24 and

Tuesday, March 31. Supper at 5:30 for those who wish to come. All are welcome.

MARRIAGE VIDEO BIBLE STUDY continues on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. until June (However, for this month we will meet on March 25th —after Lenten Services, because Pastor & Wendy will be away on the 18th.)

EASTER LILIES: If you would like to purchase an Easter Lily to adorn the altar for our Easter

services, maybe as a memorial or in thankfulness, please place your name on the sign-up sheet in the narthex. (Names will be printed in the Easter Bulletin.) Lilies may be taken home after the late service on Easter Sunday.

ANNUAL REPORT: It’s that time again! Please start getting your reports together and

getting them to Pat at: [email protected]. Thank you.

“RIGHT NOW MEDIA”: Pastor Kuenzel’s Video pick is “Resolving Everyday Conflict” by

Peacemaker Ministries. Lorraine’s Video pick is, “Underground Jerusalem” Fascinating video that takes you on a brief tour of some of the ancient sites that are underneath modern day Jerusalem. It touches on just a couple of the archaeological finds.

FLOWER NOTE: Since Lent is a season of penitence, the Worship Committee has decided we will

not have flowers on the altar during this time frame. Flowers will resume again on Easter Sunday. This is not a law, but a tradition that is followed by almost all LCC Churches.

LODGING NEEDED FOR NEXT BROCK SCHOOL YEAR: Greetings in Christ! My name is

Bianca Teich and I'm currently a first year student at Brock. I am in the Concurrent Ed teaching program. Since my hometown is in Kitchener (home church being Redeemer Lutheran in Waterloo), I've been living in residence this year. However, for next year I am hoping to find a space that I can rent from a church family, whether it be a basement apartment or a bedroom, fully furnished, from September to April for this next upcoming school year (2015-2016). I would only require access to a kitchen, and would purchase my own groceries for cooking, as well as having a furnished bedroom. If anyone has a space available that they would be able to rent to me (lease price can be negotiated) that is close to Brock and easily accessible through city bus routes, it would be much appreciated! I can be reached through my email at [email protected], or through text message only on my cell at (226) 929-1547.

STEWARDSHIP:

which it is given.”

GOING SOUTH THIS WINTER? We will need to keep the bills paid while you are gone. You can

help by setting an EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) so that your offering will come to us each month. Please see Heather Simons or Karen McCumber about setting that up. Enrollment forms are in the narthex (entry way) of the church. Your transfer can be modified or stopped at any time. Thank you.

PUZZLE PASS AROUND: Looking for an activity to stimulate your brain? There are a few 500 &

1000 piece “puzzles”, meant to be put together and then passed around. Maybe consider setting up a table to work at it as people come over to visit – makes for a fun afternoon or evening. Puzzles are in a box in the narthex.

CAMPBELLS SOUP LABELS: We are still collecting Campbell’s soup labels (the whole label

including the picture and bar-code are needed). Please place them in the boxes in the narthex. To date we have collected over 1,500 soup labels. Keep up the good work!! Thank-you!

IN THE HOSPITAL/PRAYERS: For all within our congregational family who are ill or recovering

we pray . . . . . . Lord Jesus, our Creator and Keeper, we remember all those in our congregation, and their families and friends, who are sick. Be with those who tend them. Strengthen family and friends in this time. Remind them of Your great love and care for us. If it be Your will, restore to them sound health of body, soul, and mind. Lord, hear our prayer for Your name’s sake. Amen.
