Next weekend (March 5 & 6) will be the collection weekend. This year’s theme for the appeal is “Showing the Face of God’s Mer- cy.” I want to thank all of you for your support of this appeal in the past and ask you to prayerfully consider giving to this wonderful cause. The Diocese of Bismarck African Mission is based in Kisii, Kenya, in East Africa. We have a family of 4 missionaries, Brent, Jessica, Cameron & Chloe Naslund that are currently serving for 3 years in Kisii. They are helping more than 350 AIDS orphans with health well-checks, corn and a $5 a month allow- ance that helps them purchase cooking oil, sugar, and kerosene oil for their study lamps. There are so many other things that our African Mission does for these orphans. Mar 12:.�A Lenten Retreat for MEN Tony Brandt and Christ Stew-art from Casting Nets Ministries are the guest speakers at a men’s Lenten retreat on Saturday, March 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Church of St. Anne in Bismarck. Casting Nets Ministries is a lay apostolate comprised of an experienced team of professional lay Catholic speakers and evangelists. The day begins with Mass and includes breakfast and lunch along with time for private prayer in Eucharistic Adoration. Spirit of Life Soup Kitchen/Lenten Lunches

For the past several years, Spirit of Life has offered a series of Lenten Luncheon talks in conjunction with our Thursday Soup Kitchen. Please join us during Lent over your Thursday lunch hour for soup, sandwiches and an opportunity to deepen your relationship with

Christ as we prepare for Easter. Our lunches and speaker dates for this year are Valorie Jundt, 3/3/16, Carmelite Sisters of Spirit of Life, 3/10/16, and

Mikey Hoeven will speak on 3/17/16. Soup served at 11:30 am and our

speaker beginning at 12:00. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Upcoming Area Fish Fry Dinners

Knights of Columbus Ascension's Lenten Fish Fries:

5 p.m. to 7 p.m. each Friday during Lent, Ascension’s Education Building. Cost is

$8.50 for adults and $5 for those 12 & under with a Family Meal Deal at $23

Knights of Columbus Christ the King & Spirit of Life:

Christ the King will host Fish Fry on March 11th from 5:30-7:00PM.

Spirit of Life will host Fish Fry on March 4th and March 18th from 5:00- 7:00PM. Meal includes

deep-fried -sh and shrimp along with potatoes, coleslaw, mac & cheese and dessert. Pricing will be

$9.00 for Adults and $4.00 for children grades K-6 with a $35 maximum per family

Corpus Christi Fish Fry

There will be a -sh fry every Friday during Lent at the Church of Corpus Christi in Bismarck. The meal

is served from 5 to 7 p.m. and features baked and fried -sh, French fries, fried shrimp, noodles,

applesauce, coleslaw, bread, co6ee, lemonade, milk, and homemade desserts. All proceeds from the

-sh fry events support youth participating in the Steubenville Youth Conference, youth retreats, and

other youth ministry events. Prices are $8 for adults, $4 for children, $25 for a family.

Youth Ministry Fundraiser

March 5th & 6th, & March 12 & 13 the Church of St. Joseph Youth Group will be selling beautiful imported hand-made rosaries, as well as a large variety of Catholic medals, crucifix necklaces, bracelets and other faith inspired necklaces in the Gathering Space after each Mass. There will also be an

assortment of First Communion and Confirmation gifts available as well. The Youth Group is raising funds to attend the Steubenville Conference in St. Paul, MN in July. Thank you so much for your support of the youth program at the Church of St. Joseph!
