STM Ladies Altar Society Next Meeting will be Sunday, November 11th after 8 am. Mass in the Parish Hall. They usually meet on the second Sunday. All women of the parish are welcome. For more info call Heidi Nees at (850) 384-6742.

Traditional Latin Masses are held every third Sunday and every first Tuesday of the month unless otherwise noted. Every Friday, Eucharistic Adoration 7 am -8 am. Every Wednesday, Bible Study—Faith Formation 6 pm–7:30 pm unless otherwise noted. First Friday, Mass at 6:40 am with Eucharistic Holy Hour 7-8:00 am. Unless otherwise noted. First Love Adoration on December 7th, with praise and prayer from 6-8:00 pm with reception following in Parish Hall . This is held the first Friday of every month unless otherwise noted. First Saturday, The Holy Rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm in the church in honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and her request at Fatima in 1917.

Thursday, November 1st– All Saints Holy Day—Masses will be held 6:40 am and 6:00 pm.

Friday, November 2nd—First Friday Love Adoration from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.

HURRICAN MICHAEL RELIEF CONCERT

On Saturday, November 10th from 7-8:30 pm at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 10650 Gulf Beach Hwy, Pensacola singers from the Coastal Cabaret Ensemble, The Johansens Band with Greg Brown on sax, and special guest Ben Loft-in will be performing. Come enjoy musical en-tertainment & show your support for those in need. All proceeds will go to Catholic Chari-ties for Hurricane Michael Relief efforts. Suggested donation $10. Bring your favorite beverage to enjoy at our tables or relax in concert seating.

KNIGHT’S POSTER CONTEST

Saint Thomas More Catholic Church Knights of Columbus #15836 with NAS Pensacola/Corry Knights of Columbus #16080 have stirred up a little talent competition to enhance our mission “Keep Christ in Christmas”. The contest period is from November 3rd to December 16th at 11 am. Judging will be conducted and the first place winner will be awarded their gift card by December 20th. The poster contest is open to all young people between the ages of 5 and 14. Contest entrants compete in one of three age groups—5 through 7, 8 through 10 and 11 through 14. The poster MUST reflect the theme of “Keep Christ in Christmas”. The rules of the contest are on the bulletin board in the Parish Narthex. Entry forms are in the Parish Narthex as well. A $25 gift card will be awarded for the first place entry in each age group.

Saint Thomas More Outreach would like to thank everyone for the generous donations to the Warrington Elementary School clothing drive. Many poor little kids will be thrilled with the things so generously donated.

VETERAN’S DAY MASS

On Monday, November 12th in honor of all of our Veteran’s past and present the morning Mass will be at 8:00 am instead of 6:40 am.

Saint Thomas More Parish News & Noteworthy Items

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Regular weekly Religious Education classes will start on Sunday, September 9th. Classes take place from 8:50 –9:50 am in the parish office behind the church. The schedule is as follows:

November: 11, 18—No class on the 25th

Sundays in December: 2, 9, 16— No class 23rd & 30th

Sundays in January: 6, 13, 20, 27

ADULT FAITH FORMATION

Wednesday, November 14th at 6 pm we will be starting the study of the book “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist” by Brant Pitre, with Father Nicholas Schumm facilitating. All adults are invited to join us in the Parish Hall for this in-depth study of the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist and how our faith grew out of Judism. The cost of the book will be $10. The studies start at 6 pm and will conclude about 7:35 pm. The continuing dates will be November 7th, 14th, 28th, December 5th and 12th.

WEAC THANKSGIVING

Saint Thomas More Community Outreach is supporting Warrington Emergency Aid Center (WEAC) in their request to provide Thanksgiving dinner to needy families. They are doing $15 gift cards from Greer’s (cards will be marked “Food Only”) and used for a turkey or ham and the grocery buggy will be in the vestibule to collect sides such as boxes of stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, canned baked beans, canned sweet potatoes, gravy mixes, etc. We are hoping to collect at least ten gift cards. If you buy a card please get it to Cathy Lipham, 453-5636 (usually 4 pm Mass), Lynn Van Natter 456-1070 (usually at 8 am Mass) or call either to arrange connections. Your support is greatly appreciated.

PARISH CLEAN-UP DAY

The members of the Knights of Columbus would like to invite all members of the parish who would like to participate as we prepare for Advent on Saturday, November 17th at 8 am.

HOLIDAY BAKE SALE

Saint Thomas More Outreach will have the Holiday Bake Sale on November 17th & 18th, in the parish hall, after each Mass. There will be cookies, cakes, pies, and candies from the greatest bakers in the parish. Please plan to visit the hall and buy your favorite children at Warrington Elementary School.

ADVENT/CHRISTMAS SOCIAL

CRAFT ADVENT WREATH EVENT

This is a family craft event for parents and children ages 4-12 in the Hall classroom. If your family would like to participate in the Advent Wreath Craft Event during the Parish Advent Christmas Party, please call the front office at (850) 456-2543 to sign up no later than November 23rd. This is to ensure we have enough supplies for each family to make a wreath as it is one wreath per family.

Join us on Sunday, December 2nd at 3 to 5 pm in the Parish Hall for our annual Advent-Christmas Social. We will have lots of great food, a visit from Saint Nicholas for the kids, a craft Advent Wreath event for the kids, and a raffle for some wonderful prizes for the adults.
