Critical Literacy: We will begin a new seminar this week. We will focus on considering abstract concepts/ideas in texts. We will begin by reading Big Al and Shrimpy. Spelling: Unit 4 Week 1 (a, ai, ay) Please visit: www.spellingcity.com/MillerCardiff Math: We will continue with time to the hour and half hour. We will also focus on using a number line for subtraction. I am sending home a subtraction game for extra home practice. Writing: We will begin an opinion, writing unit. We will focus on our opening and using reasons and evidence to support our opinions. SEE SAW: I hope you were able to listen to your child’s fact family penguin. They had fun creating and recording these. This Week’s Focus Cardiff Play Mark your calendars for March 10 th at 9:00. We will be putting on a play about the history of Cardiff Schools. More information to be coming home soon. I hope every one had a nice weekend. The students have earned another reading party. We will celebrate this Friday.
