Greetings S.A.L. Brothers, I would like to thank all those SAL Members who were able to attend our 2nd Annual Membership Steak Bake. It was nice to see many new faces and hope to see them through out the year. Special Thanks to Charlie Jackson and those who helped prepare the food for the event. We recently sent out our first membership renewal letter for 2016 Membership Dues, if you already sent in your dues you should soon be receiving your new membership card in the mail. Our goal this year is to hit 100% by the end of this year and don’t forget if you get your Membership Dues in before Oc-tober you are entitled to the “Early Bird Dinner”. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! We are still currently looking for SAL Members to help cook and sell food at BINGO on the third Wednesday of each month. The SAL gets to keep some of the proceeds, which also enables our organization to support oth-ers. The American Legion is looking for help selling clothing apparel at the Great New York State Fair if anyone is inter-ested please contact Commander Mark Adams. For those of you who provided us with your e-mail address you should soon be receiving e-mails on up coming legion events. If you need to contact us we also have a new e-mail address [email protected]. We have some new and exciting events planned for this year, a Chicken BBQ Horseshoe Event, 200 Club Raffle Event, Chili Cook Off, Breakfast w/Santa, Breakfast w/the Easter Bunny & Fathers Day Breakfast. Stay tuned for event dates and times.
Hope everyone enjoyed their summer! Michael Aregano

Well ladies, here it is almost the end of summer and our meetings will be upon us once again. I would like to say - our first meeting is the 2nd of Sept at 700 pm, not the 8th as my letter stated in the ice cream social letter. Sorry for the inconvenience but i thought about the State Fair week with no fish fry and got con-fused. Thank you to all who came to the ice cream social and all the Aux women who were there and helped out. We have a lot going on this year and volunteers are always welcome. Come to our meeting Sept 2 and just see what we have in the works and see where you can be a part of this GREAT organization Our bingo time is the 4th wed of the month. Come give us a hand . We have a ADULT MOVIE NITE scheduled in Sept - let us know what movie you want to see. It’s not as expensive as Regal in the mall Have a great rest of the Summer and see you all soon. From the Chaplain: Dear members, You are in distress when a loved one becomes ill, injured or passes away, that is understandable, but please let the Chaplain know as soon as possible so our Legion can take appropriate action. I check the obituaries each morning, but if no mention of being Legion member, the family may think we don't care which is never the case. Please email or call Chaplain Heidenreich with information at [email protected] or 315-345-0702 / 315-458-3895.
