TIA’s Sustainability InitiativeTIA’s Sustainability Initiative

• Work with member companies in their identification of, development of, promotion of, and positioning of green and sustainable initiatives.

• STEP has been identified as a mechanism to promote and position the initiatives and technologies of member companies.

Why STEP?Why STEP?

• Fills the ICT void not addressed by other “green building” rating systems

• ICT systems have been challenged to contribute to the sustainable building movement

• ICT systems are not (yet) part of the changing building codes and standards process

• Engage all stakeholders to accomplish sustainability goals
