Monday 13 February, 19:30-21:30 Alan Ereira, Leila Segal, Rabbi Mark Goldsmith and Pam

Fox talk about their recent publications: 17th Century England, Cuban stories, Spirituality, and a History of the

Golders Green Jewish Community respectively.

Tuesday 14 February, 18:00-20:00 Gerald Jacobs, author and Alyth member presents his new

book "Nine Love Letters", a heart-rending tale of two families fleeing the horrors of the holocaust. Nine Love

Letters is a poignant and tender novel about the enduring power of love across generations, based on real events.

Wednesday 15 February, 17:00-18:00 (For 8-13 year olds, adults welcome) Alex Bellos’ children's

book, “Football Rules the World”.

Sunday 12 February, 11:00-12:00 Rabbi Josh Levy will take us around the art works

of Alyth; the windows, tapestries, ark door and other commissioned pieces.

Thursday 16 February, 17:00-18:00 Rabbi Mark Goldsmith talks about the art of the Sofer and

the beauty of the Torah scroll.

Sunday 19 February, 11:00-12:00 Dr. Gordon Higgott, architectural historian, will give an

illustrated talk on Renaissance and Baroque Synagogues.

Wednesday 15 February, 19:30-22:00 WOMAN IN GOLD (2015)

Maria Altmann had to flee her native Vienna before the war and now, in her 90s, lives in New York. She learns that a

portrait of her aunt, Adele Bloch-Bauer, painted by Gustav Klimt, was stolen by the Nazis from their family home and is now in Belvedere Palace in Vienna. She embarks on a legal campaign to reclaim the picture. Starring Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds. Introduction by Julia Weiner, art historian,

curator and lecturer.

Sunday 12 February, 19:30-21:30 Gala Concert: Lawson Piano Trio

Recognised both for their performances of the cornerstones of the trio repertoire as well as lesser known works and their own new commissions. The Lawson Trio has appeared at major venues including London’s Wigmore Hall, King’s Place and

the Southbank Centre.

Monday 13 February, 15:00-16:30 Tea Time Recital: Robyn Koh, piano

Robyn was educated at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester and has been the recipient of many awards, including from the Craxton Memorial Trust and the Young Concert Artist’s Trust. She will be performing music by Byrd, Frescobaldi, Purcell, Handel, Rameau, JS Bach, D. Scarlatti, CPE Bach and Arne & Duphly.

Wednesday 15 February, 15:00-16:30 Tea Time Recital: Raphael Lang, cello

Raphael is a French-American cellist. At the Royal Academy, he was the winner of the May Mukle Prize 2011, the David Martin/Florence Hooton Prize 2012, and the Wolfe Wolfinsohn Prize 2014. He will be performing music by Samuel Barber, Ludwig van Beethoven and Simon Laks.

Friday 17 February, 15:00-16:30 Katie Hainbach, mezzo-soprano

Katie is a passionate recitalist and as a student she was an active member of the Guildhall Song Guild. In addition to being Head of Music and Arts at Alyth, she regularly performs in recital and oratorio throughout the UK and abroad and has performed as part of the chorus at Grange Park and Garsington. She will be

performing pieces by Fauré, Duparc, Debussy and Poulenc.

embroidered handmade garments, picture frames, candles and other miscellaneous craft works for sale.

Come and get some cool moves for the party later. Professional instructor will take you through the steps.

Soul Fiesta Party

Saturday 18 February, 20:00 - 23:00

A high impact cosmopolitan band based in London but made up of musicians from Latin America and across the

world. They are a regular fixture in London’s Latin clubs, and have performed for the last 10 years all over the world.

Includes one free cocktail and nibbles.

V&A Archive of Art and Design Tour

Thursday 16 February, 10:00 - 12:00

A private tour of Blythe House with Rabbi Mark Goldsmith and Viv Bellos to view the UK's leading collection of archives of

applied art and design. The tour includes the working archives and private papers of 28 Jewish designers and practitioners.

There will be a chance to hear about the life and work of some of the designers and to see a selection of their work.

A dynamic creative theatre company that focuses on the ethics of human interaction. Benjamin Victor, Artistic Director and Alyth member, will use this opportunity to perform one of his plays.
