Pastor Evan Cameron
WELCOME TO PASTOR EVAN CAMERON!
At the Joint Congregational Meeting of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of
Phillipsburg and St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem on
September 16 a Letter of Call was given to Pastor Evan Cameron.
We have now received the approved Letter of Call from Bishop
Michael Rinehart of the Texas Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod.
Pastor Evan will begin working at the two churches the week of
September 24.
He will be ordained in Ohio on October 21.
Please watch for his installation date. We will publish the date as soon
as we know of the date.
Please watch your Sunday bulletins and our
church website for the forthcoming installation date.

Wednesday, October 10 for Seniors Day at the Austin County Fair
Grounds from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Admission $3.00 includes entry to

Dorothy Dannhaus. We greatly appreciate the many acts of kind-
ness. A special thank you to Pastor Bade for his comforting mes-
sage at her funeral and to her nieces Cheryl, Bonnie and Phyllis for
their beautiful music. Thank you to the Women of the Church for
the delicious meal after the service. We also appreciate those you
who kept in contact with our Mom during her stay at Oak Haven.

Voted to replace two air conditioning units in the Family Life Center—
unanimous vote was yes to replace the units.

MEETING SEPTEMBER 16
There were 78 voting members present from St. James Lutheran Church
and 53 voting member from St. Paul Phillipsburg Lutheran Church.
Prior to the meeting Pastor Evan Cameron spoke to both congregations
and there was a meet and greet time held.
A motion was made and voted on by written ballot with the results to
officially extend the call to Pastor Evan Cameron.

the banks November 25th and December 2nd.
