Andrzej Jagodzinski Trio

Musicians

Andrzej Jagodziński, Adam Cegielski and Czesław "Mały" Bartkowski - these musicians need not to be introduced to anyone. Their position on the Polish scene has been well grounded for many years, and their performances in prestigious concert halls around the world are rewarded with standing ovations. The Trio is best known for their jazz interpretations of Chopin's music. Their first album entitled CHOPIN, issued in 1993, started a veritable wave of similar projects. Listeners still love that music. The new albums - SONATA in B flat minor (2009) and CHOPIN – Les brillantes (2010) have promptly became Golden Records! While recording its first album, Trio was aware they

were walking on slippery ground, but they couldn’t foresee whether or not theaudience were ready for such an

experiment, nor to what extent. However they were continuously presenting their music: first in Europe and then - encouraged by the zeal of our audience - throughout the world: Mexico and Siberia, USA, Argentina and China, Lebanon and Izrael… They played Their Chopin in The Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, but also out in the open air in Chicago Park.
