Join us this week for all things apple! Apple art and math, apple tasting and an apple science experiment. Learn about the life cycle of an apple and take home your own apple seed to watch sprout. What says “Halloween” more than black cats and pumpkins? Join us at the Train Depot where we will be painting these

two holiday icons for you to take home and display in your house all spooky month long!

All supplies will be provided.

rd Public Program Family Campfire

Join the SOAC staff around the campfire for music and yummy s’mores! Location: Sharp Springs Natural Area, 1000 Espey Drive. Fire pit located behind the Green Building Time: 6:00PM - 8:00PM Cost: $2 per person All Ages - Under the age of 18 MUST BE accompanied by an adult. Food is pre-packaged for registrants. Registrants are welcome to bring personal food and drink. Event is canceled if inclement weather. Follow the Public Program signs. Registration REQUIRED through Community Pass. Kids, bring your parent and join us at the SOAC for a spooky night of painting.

We will be painting a Halloween pumpkin! Please bring something sturdy to take

your pumpkin home in to finish drying! All supplies will be provided.

th Public Program Kayak Float

Join SOAC staff on the water as we launch from Volunteer Park. Boats, PFD’s, and paddles provided; sunscreen and bug spray recommended; bring a bottle of water and clothes that can get wet. Ages 12 and up only, please. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Event is canceled if there is inclement weather.
