CHAPTER 1 Hakeem Isaiah Payton was born on the rough sides of Bronx, New York .Every since he could walk all he did was played basketball he was the one that was going to get his family to better places in life Hakeem had potenital of going to the NBA in this story. You will learn the story that made Hakeem Isaiah Payton who he is today

Hakeem had a hard life being raised by a single mother who was an alcoholic and some nights didn’t show up at home. Being raised in Brooklyn was a bad place to be at the time. Drugs was every were but Hakeem knew better not to do it cause it could ruin his talents. Hakeem was a growing boy by the time he was twelve he was six foot two and dunking on middle schoolers.

Chapter 2 Hakeem was 6 foot 6 by the time he hit the 9th grade. He was the youngest and the best on varisty and was about to make history in the state championship game.SWISH!!!! Was the sound of the net when Hakeem sink his tenth three pointer of the game. Hakeem was making shots from left to right at this rate he was about to set history.It was tied up the score was 107-105 Hakeem team was losing but it was okay as long as he had the ball in his hand for the last shot. 3,2,1 Hakeem shot the ball it rotated in the air and swish right threw the net. BEEEEEP!!!!! Hakeem let out a roar with exciment. The crowd running out on the floor and pick up Hakeem cheering. Later own Hakeem went in the locker room he seen a man wearing a black sports coat with a hat on. Could it be a scholarship offer. He didn’t know. The man apporach Hakeem with a sad face. “Hakeem I afraid we have bad new,your mother has passed away tonight” the man said. Tears started running down his face he was froze like he has almost been shot. “Why does this have to happen to me”

Chapter 3 Hakeem was force to move with his grandma in Harlem, New York. By this time he was a junior in high school. He had to become the man of the house because his grandma was at the age were she couldn’t do much. Hakeem made friends real fast by playing on the basketball court right in front of his house. Hakeem was the tallest in the neighborhood. Which made it more easier for him to score. But after beating the other team for the 6th time in a row, Hakeem let out a yell “I am the best to ever play on this court.” The kids face looked in shock. Nobody couldn’t believe what he just said. “Do you know what court you are playing on” said the kid. “Whats so special about this court.” said Hakeem. “Im whats so special about this court”

Chapter 4 A big black bald headed guy with a michael jordan jersey and small shorts. “Kid do you know what court you are on”said the bald headed guy. “Yea it look like mines I was thinking I should put my face right here”said hakeem in a cocky tone. “After my 10 years in put in this court this is the first time I see your face and you got the nerves to disrespect me do you know who I am? Nope and I really don’t care said Hakeem. “I chanllege you to a game tomorrow night we will see who is the real king of this court and by the way my name is Jordan. Well its getting kinda late so I got to head home but do we a favor and polish my court for me.

Chapter 5 Hakeem race home trying to beat the streets lights and make it to dinner. “Boom” was the sound as the door as Hakeem race to the kitchen. “Hakeem did you finish cleaing up before you left” said grandma. “Yes.” After Hakeem finish eating he went to his room and got on the computer. He google his apartments and the basketball court in front of it and whats was so special about it. He face went in shock he couldn’t believe what he saw. The court he said was his was rucker park. Many great streetball players made a name there. Like pistol pete, Earl the goat, Julius Erving. And he just disrespected every on of them for calling it his court. Hakeem went to sleep hopeing to clear his mined.

Chapter 6 Hakeem went to the court the next day for a pick up game against Jordan. Hakeem was so scared when he seen all the people in the crowd. There was people on top of apartments all on the side of the court. It was as Michael Jordan was playing in game 7 against the utah jazz. “Hakeem” yelled Jordan. You ready to play ball. “I was ready yesterday” Hakeem said in a nervous tone. Hakeem had no chance in winning his team against Jordan team was like four year olds against pro basketball players he had no chance.

Chapter 7 “Ring” the alarm went off. Getting ready to start the game. Jordan team won the tip off. As Hakeem apporach Jordan he hit a quick crossover making Hakeem fall to the ground. All Hakeem could do was watch him slam it in the goal slaming two points on the board. It was Hakeem turn to show Jordan what he had. He knew this crossover would work because it always did he hit a quick behind the back and threw it under Jordan legs but Jordan stolded the ball and race down the court with his toung hanging out his mouth. Hakeem couldn’t belive it he was playing against Michael Jordan he stood there in shock. “Hakeem lets play ball.”said his teamate He felt like he was dreaming it couldn’t be true

Chapter 8 Hakeem came down the court still in shock it was the 3rd quarter the score was 75-69. Hakeem team was down and Michael Jordan had been eating him up all day. The clock was running out of time with 5 seconds left Hakeem let a three pointer go and sink the shot just before the buzzer went off. The score now was 75-72. This the final quarter the 4th quarter the game was on the line. He knew he had to step up and play like he knew he could

Chapter 9 “Beep.” The alarm went off Hakeem and Michael apporach the court staring down each other. “You ready kid.” “I was born ready” said Hakeem. Lets see. Michael Jordan and Hakeem was unstoppable this quarter nobody could stop them but till it came down to the wire with 10 seconds left in the quarter. Hakeem dribble the ball down the court It was as if the world would end if he didn’t make this shot. He career depend of the shot. A pick and roll came across for Hakeem. He let the three out of his hand as Michael Jordan jump to block it. The shot rotated in the air. It rolled around the rim for 2 seconds and it went in Hakeem beat Michael Jordan. “Good game kid” said Michael. “Thanks” said Hakeem. The crowed surround him cheering it had to be the best moment of his life.

Chapter 10 Hakeem grew older and achieve his dream he made it to the nba he got to play in the olympics and won two nba championship. He achieved many achievements in his life but he still described this one as the greatest to ever happened.
