Information for parents/carers
Including everyone:
Our tutors, coaches and support team will always dotheir utmost to support each child. Wheelchair userswill find suitable options at some sports events. Some of our more sensory events will suit children with PMLD. If you are not sure which events to choose, we can advise you.
Please call our information line on 01305 252250. All indoor and most outdoor venues are fully accessible.
Support:
We will ask you some questions about your child so we can assess his/her support needs. One to one support is available, if needed.
Children can be left in the care of our support team in most cases. This may not be possible if your child is a wheelchair user, has to take medication during the event, or may present challenging behavior – but, if this is the case, your child’s own carer can attend and we will cover the cost.
If you do leave your child with us, you must be available on an emergency telephone number. We ask all parents/carers to stay for a child’s first session to help us get to know him/her. Care passports can be emailed to [email protected]. A supervisor trained in emergency first aid will be present at all events.
Booking Places must be booked in advance. Events cost£6 per child participating or £8 for longerevents (4 hours or more) unless otherwise stated.
