Band Members upon turning the age of 18 years are responsible for contacting the Band Office to

provide a current Mailing Address to be added onto the “Master Membership Mailing List Registry”.

The Chief and Council (C&C) has a fiduciary duty to inform Membership of the Band’s Business, as well as,

General Band Meetings, Elections, Referendums and other community events. Within the organization, the

Administration Department is responsible for the “Band Membership Master Mailing List” for the Tk’emlúps

te Secwépemc (TteS) membership mail-out: (Annual Information Packages; Annual Reports; Audited

Financial Statements; Christmas Bonus Cheque: Quarterly Lexéy'em (Newsletter); and various Monthly

Departmental Newsletters and announcements).

2. Band Members 18 years and older are responsible for contacting the Administration Department

Office Manager, Carrie Leonard to place your name and mailing address onto the “Band Membership

Master Mailing List” or call my direct line (250) 828-9722, Confidential Fax (250) 314-1591 or email

address carrie.leonard@kib.ca to confirm or update contact information.

3. If your mail is returned to the band as “Un-claimed, Moved, or Address Unknown ” your name will

be removed from the Master Mailing List and placed onto the Removed Mailing List, therefore, your

mail will be discontinued until you have contacted our Department with an up-to-date Mailing

Address.

4. If you have provided your contact information to any another Department e.g. (Housing, Lands,

Social Development, Education, etc) Please Note: You need to provide your information directly to

Administration as your current contact information is NOT automatically forwarded to the

Membership Master Mailing List Registry”.
