The entire staff at D & D Equipment would like to wish you a very Happy Holidays. We hope that 2016 was a favorable year for you. For most of our customers, 2016 was a mixed bag of highs and lows. Weather and crops were some of the best we have had in years and most of our dairy customers are ending the year with an abundance of quality feed. On the other hand, milk prices were lower than the past couple of years, but we all knew that the pricing roller coaster was bound to make its downward move. Current milk futures are on an upward trend and already we see attitudes changing as it has sparked some end of year buying. On the growers side, commodity prices remain low with the exception of a recent uptick with beans. Certainly we expect those of you in this business to have another trying year in 2017 without some major weather related issue or a demand from foreign markets. As expected, equipment sales were down slightly, especially on the tractor side. New and used combines were fairly good and we had a good year with our specialty products, one of those being McHale Balers. This is a new line for us and, as with our other specialty products, we have found McHale to be a high quality line. As has been the case over the past number of years, the Gehl , Manitou, Pottinger and Penta lines were very positive again this year. Our service department remains busy and work has started coming in under our winter service program which will run through the 28th of February 2017. Call Mark or Gene in our shop office to get your equipment on the schedule.
