VOLUNTEERS FOR TODAY

This summer, June 23-28, Calvary teens will once again go to the downtown Dallas area on a mission trip. They will stay in a church located off of Martin Luther King Blvd. and sleep on the floor for a week. Calvary students will help the church host a Vacation Bible School, feed the homeless in the church’s food kitchen (over 300 people at a time), work in their clothes pantry, paint and do repairs for nearby under-privileged residents, work in area nursing homes, and participate in many other projects over the course of the week. There will be more than 50 people taking this trip, and it will cost each student $220 to attend. Next week, March 31, we will begin

our envelope fundraiser, our primary fundraiser for this trip. We are asking our Calvary family to select a numbered envelope from the display boards located in the entrance areas and to place that designated amount of money inside it. Envelopes filled with the noted amount should be given to the church office or placed in the offering plate. If we receive all the envelopes back with the amounts indicated, we will make over $8,000.00 toward the mission trip. We ask that you also please pray for this special service time.

PASTOR’S REPORT We’ll continue taking pictures for our church app,

“Church Life.” There are several locations to take your

picture before and after Bible study and morning

worship service. Matthew Thompson has organized

this effort and has involved several people to assist in

making this photo opportunity possible.

Last Wednesday night, our students met in the newly remodeled Student Cen-

ter. There were 95 students present and about 30 adult workers. If you have

not seen this remodeled building, please take the time to walk through and

see the efficient layout and very attractive building our students are enjoying.

I want to remind our people that your faithful and generous giving has made

this project possible.

The month of April will be an exciting and busy month at Calvary Church. Take

time to read your bulletin, and find your place to help in our ministries.
